Indeed. If you want fast internet, go with Rogers. Just use it between 4AM and 5AM. Keep in mind, Rogers throttles 24/7 (Torrents). Bell throttles from 4PM to 2AM.

Actually, with Rogers, throttling isn't really noticeable because with express alone I can get 1000 kB/s to 1.2 MB/s on torrents provided there are enough seeder. Thats pretty close to their advertised speed and when you account for the upload at the same time its dead on.

Sure its 24/7 but its ONLY p2p upload NOT download. So your download never gets slowed down only p2p upload is capped at 80 kb/s and as I said it does NOT effect me because I have express and its max upload speed is about 64 kb/s

Don't tell me you are that gullible? Videotron and cogeco are owned by the same company and used exactly the same technology. Both used coaxial cables which the inner metalic core is copper. I know from having worked with their wiring myself.

Well I am glad you are happy with what you have, but don't trash the other companies without actually knowing what you are talking about.

There is pros and cons for both type of technologies, and they are equaly reliable and performant. All depends on what you do.

The fact is though, that when you have a shared connection like cogeco and videotron, your speed will go down as more people gets on their network.

Do study both technologies to their fullest and you will see what I mean.
