My dogs and cat used to love whole raw fish, then all of a sudden they wouldn't eat it anymore. Now I feed them canned mackerel, salmon, and sardines (mixed w/swt potato to maintain firm stool). I know canned isn't the greatest, but it's better than kibble and they need a fish meal at least once a week. The rest of their food is raw meaty bones. GREAT VIDEO!!!
Always happy to see other raw-feeders out there! We feed our 3 cats and our Aussie a 'pre-made' raw frozen diet (from Nature's Variety) along with some RMB's (raw meaty bones, for those who don't know) and they just LOVE it. I have a video on here showing how crazy the kitties get over their food. A raw diet (done right) is so much more beneficial to dogs & cats than anything you could ever find in a dry kibbled pet food. I feel so bad for all the pets out there eating crap like Beneful.. UGH!
Same. I hate all the people that feed that kind of crap to animals, and then give them raw food every once in a while, then they say it sucks because their pet throws up. Hello...! If someone fed you vegetables from birth and you ate steak, your stomach wouldn't be adapted to meat! (This is not a reply to anyone, kk?)
I agree with you. Unfortunately many just do not know, they think "well its being sold, it must be safe".. i too thought that until I came to my senses. My husky would not even go near the beneful, so I changed to a different brand i thought was "the best" now i know thee safest thing is to go raw. Im still trying to wrap my min dabout how exactly to do this but im going to for their well being. i feel horrible for all other pets out there still being fed the commercial rubbish :(
my pug is allergic to a lot of stuff in dog foods, and i found one that she's doing ok on, but i've just started looking up the BARF diet and strongly considering on switching to it... im just not sure how to go about it.
