Aaaah Lakesides, what a wonderful race track, with many 'good times' from days gone by. Everytime I see that track, it always bring back happy thoughts of THAT race in 1981. Yep those was the days when the TRU-BLU XD set the track on fire - you can almost hear the sweet, booming Cleveland 351 echoing from near-by hills. Long live DJ!!!!!
i reckon they should just cut the grass back, replace the metal fence with a concrete wall, and repaint the ripplestrips. the thing with some tracks is that i like them to stay the way they are. i reckon they shouldn't have put a concrete wall at the exit of the dipper at bathurst, that way it exposes some of the grass, and it looks a little bit better. i don't see anything wrong with the surface of the track.

I did a minute 1.03 around that track on a TZ 250 , not great but ok for c grader

Such a shame that the track has turned into this, let's just hope the planned redevelopment goes ahead.
