  • ColeLite you are a waste of oxygen....have you ever considered suicide?

  • When this man dies the world will be a little cleaner. Meanwhile, this fece-sack will have to explain to God how he used Christianity to spread his personal, pathetic politics.

  • I don't think he is racist. And I'm sure he learned alot from watching MLK get shot in the face.

  • Dashman211, thank you pointing out pointing out racism two generations ago, this fake Rev is a racist TODAY. He learned nothing from MLK.

  • Hey white people, I hear your complaints out there in internetland. Well, I know many of you feel snubbed by the pastor's comments, so I ask, what do you think a better rhyme for whites would have been. How about " When white will fight the good fight." How does that sound. Look, just realize that this is an old man from civil rights era. Think about it. He's kind of like your old racist grandad who has old pictures of himself eating barbecue with his dad at the town lynching. Well, not exactly.

  • I think everyone should embrace whats right. Why are we targeting white people? Good apples and bad apples in every bunch. Racism is racism. It isnt acceptable no matter what color you are. BUT gee, thanks for the reminder to "embrace what is right" as if I havent been doing that all along.

  • Seems to me as if Blacks are trying to get back at Whites? White embrace whats right. Pfft. Can't belive this guy actually said this all over the TV and infront of millions of people, Funny thing is that the media hasent mentioned anything about it. (Or that I know of.) And Shannonk22, I couldn't agree anymore.

  • Wow for once can we just let the black man make a speech and not critisize the shit out of every little detail? Jesus christ the guy is old he has probably seen some scary racist shit that we young folk have no fucking clue about. So shut your pie hole shannonk22, rinse the sand out, and remember that not all generations have a happy go lucky, Starbucks view on racism.

  • 1. lol, Starbucks.

    2. Totally agree.

    3. I think that he just wanted to make it rhyme, I mean, everyone was laughing about it, cause it was kind of funny. I think it wasn't supposed to be taken so seriously... disagree if you will but this is what I think.

  • The black need to stay off crack! now thats some funny shit!!!

  • Such a racist comment. Saying "white to accept what is right". What you are basically doing is labeling all white people as people who don't accept what's right. They're some whites who do accept what is right. And they're some blacks who need to accept what is right. You can't label a whole race of people being that way because when you do that's racist. Btw, as whites accepting what is right, I guess we need to get rid of affirmitive action.

  • Why are whites always so sensitive when people critique them? It is not directed to the whole race it is directed to the people what still feel that BLACKS are inferior. The only way we will grow as a nation is by WHITES embracing their past!!! Blacks just recently have been free of oppression and we still have some instances of that today! And please tell me what is right when social stratification in this country has been aimed to keep African-Americans oppressed.Think about it. CHANGE

  • Obama said that even though we are a young country we need to put away "Childish things". To not understand the social problems that are happening in this country alludes to how Whites have a false Conciseness about America. If you don't know many African Americans lack in Health care and job unavailability, which creates a economic gap. I suggest if you are going to quote Lowery, look for the validity in his statement. Go to any black neighborhood and you will see what Lowery was talking about.

  • racist himself

  • I love this man and his message.

  • Blacks should embrace whats right

  • It was light hearted lighten.

You sound like someone who should embrace his message.

  • *lighten up.

  • When was the last time you told a black person to lighten up? I personally am all for Obama and think we have come a long way but to continue to hear blacks complaining about inequality will get old really soon. Imagine what the black community would have done if a white reverend said "Blacks should embrace what is right". Double standards? Hypocricy? If we aspire to be as MLK said, color blind, than lets be color blind, no more racial b.s. on ANY side. No segregation period, all races!

  • No double standard, no hypocrisy, light hearted momnet. Blacks, whites and Asians were laughing and that's the beauty of it. He said something about every race. The people who make a big deal out of nothing, be it black or white may have some underlying racism and it may have touch a nerve with you. If you're not a racist white person why get so heated? The whites in the audience laughed because they knew he wasn't talking about them.

When have I told black people to lighten up, all the time.

  • @Borba73 and Catholic priest too!!!
