You kind of have to if your microwaving eggs or else it wont cook evenly and the texture will tast some what gritty in your mouth. Ive made eggs in the microwave on several occasions and frankly, I love them. The quality depends on how the ingredients are prepared prior to cooking them with the egg. Protiens should be cooked at least half way through, and never add grated or shredded cheese to the egg or it wont hold its shape. just place the cheese in the center so that its kept in the center.
