Sir, thanks for your time n efforts making your vid
I have hundreds of pages I made on PC from 1997 to 2oo8 using NScape Composer. The last time I was told I need to wipe my hard drive n reinstall Windows I switched to an Mac.
After buying a MacBookPro the computer "genius" at the Mac store told me that I could not use my Mac to re edit my old pages. Hopefully this genius was not too genius?
By chance do you know it this program will allow me to edit the pages at my domain of 3cats.com?
@UTubeGlennAR I remember using Netscape Composer back around 1999/2000. Cool program. If you've got your HTML files, then you can open and edit them with any text or html editor on a Mac or PC. No problem there. You'll want your page(s) locally. So, if they are online you can start download your pages using an FTP client and then edit and re-publish the modified files.
Thanks for your reply, I am trying to figure out how to save a page n it's fotos, but so far no luck..... It saved the text n formatting/coding but not the .jpg. By chance have any idea how to do this page by page?
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I was looking into buying Dreamweaver CS5 but it is very pricey. So I research some free alternatives and SeaMonkey came highly recommended. Your tutorial is fantastic. Very clear, concise and thorough. You managed to convey enough features of SM in this video to get people up and running. Thanks again. Thumbs up. :-)
I thought SeaMonkey was something way more technical, don't ask me what I thought it was! I didn't know until tonight that it is an HTML editor, which is something I've been needing for 2 years! I was using FrontPage until I got my Mac. FrontPage always made automatic changes to my code and couldn't handle my tables. Sometimes screenshots aren't quite enough, so I'm glad I found your video. You've been a big help. Thank you so much! I'm downloading SeaMonkey now.
This is a good video for the people who already KNOW HOW to make a web page. I don't have any experience on that, and I find ALL KINDS of things in which I get lost. When I do understand something, it is because I already went through it as I am building a webpage in Seamonkey--so, as I said, it is good if you already know how to do it. What "experts" do not understand is that a video of this type needs to address the PEOPLE WHO DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO IT. Thanks anyway--I'll keep looking.
Whoops, I was reviewing your tutorial and was in the pause mode, then went to hit the restart arrow and hit the "4-star" rating by mistake. But I give this tutorial a "5-star" rating and would change it if I could. Sorry about that.
