Ja' estava morando nos EUA naquela epoca e lamento que nao sabia nada dos Mutantes - estava muito ligado com o British Invasion e Os Beatles, etc., mas Os Mutantes sao demais! Far out!

It's amazing how they smartly criticised (indirectly) the military dictatorship and talked about sex, love and freedom even on TV! In that period television was just in it's first steps in Brazil and the dictatorship controlled almost everything (including the freedom of expression). I love this band!

Os Mutantes still played such psychedelic rock songs with their very creative style (in many senses), had great lyrics with the wonderful ability to criticise the dictatorship indirectly and talk about sex and freedom, too. "Os Mutantes" is one of the most creative bands that have ever existed. Tropicalia movement in Brazil raised lots of talented people and they were part of it.

Their performance onstage was perfect! And talk about sex in the brazilian dictature, by TV period was REALLY breakthrough!!!
