  • sooo how many clutches have you gone through driving like that

  • I feel sorry for your clutch

  • sounds wicked. E-tests are for hippies.

  • Im leaving the cat on my 4runner when I put an exhaust on. Just not worth the effort, and it wouldnt pass the etest w/ out one!

  • I really can't here the difference sorry to say...

I have a stock 93 with the 3.0 and it sounds the exact same.

All 3.0's are just fucking gutless!

  • i would like to know how much buy perecentage does the catalytic converter reduce emissions, what are they made out of, and can they be recycled for another purpose, im just wondering if the car makers maybe should find a better way, because lately the stuff we are lead to believe that is good for the enviroment is really terrible in the long run.

  • the reason the 3vz is prone to blowing head gaskets IS BECAUSE OF HEAT!

BUT!!!! it's because of the stock crossover pipe, i took mine off and ran duals to a dual inlet single outlet muffler and it sounds and runs incredible lol

  • i have a 97 runner with no cat and i put a flowmaster racing muff on it. trust me. you want a goood sound. and loud.? this is the set up

  • 1994 4 runner sounds better with holes in the muffler truts me

  • 4KSE- ever wondered why the 3vze is prone to blowing heads and head gaskets?? Take a look at the factory exhaust and you will see why.

Removing the cat converter and installing a bigger exhaust lets the heat flow freely away from the heads. For most of us its about removing heat and saving the heads, not for noise or a gain in power.

  • You are an idiot for cutting out your catalytic converter. You WONT gain any power or throttle response, you are just imagining it. A cat reduces the flow of exhaust negligibly and does nothing more than reduce harmful emissions like carbon monoxide. The small amount of throttle response may have come from upgrading from a stock to aftermarket muffler, but not from removing your cat. Put it back on, you can't pass an emission test without it, and depending where you live, it's illegal.

  • i know its illegal haha i wanted the sound

  • damn 4KSE stop hatin u saw the title of the video. If he can remove stuff like that im pretty sure he knows what hes doing. Probably just showin people what it sounds like so they have an idea before they buy the product. RESEARCH. Great video

  • and it sounds like complete ass without it since it's not a V8 or a diesel

also good job using an overpriced average sounding muffler everyone else uses, that and the Cherry Bomb glasspack

  • @4KSE I would have to disagree with you. As much as I don't want to admit it there are plenty of dynos that prove catalytic converters do cause loss of horsepower but you are correct today's cats are very efficient and the environmental price to performance is not worth it.

  • @4KSE i got more grunt out of mine when i deleted it why would they take them off for raceing duh and they sound way meaner dont be such a girl

  • @4KSE i got more grunt out of mine when i deleted it why would they take them off for raceing duh and they sound way meaner dont be such a girl but mine sounds alot better than that thing here buy a real muffler aka borla and some headers

  • notice any increase in power there bro?

I got a 92 and the muffler is fucked, leaks everywhere including the cat its going to be cut out.

  • the acceleration is better without the cat thats about it lol.

  • fuckin with the test pipe and 40's....nice Im looking at doin this too on my 94' but I might get the super 44's instead. Have you heard them on a runner cuz i dont know if they will sound good or not?

  • so what is the real setup?

  • I deleted the cat, and put a pipe there, and the exhaust is just a flowmaster 40s haha taking out the cat helps the sound a lot

  • I think my borla sounds better

  • Nice runner man, i got a 97 and im loving it so far

  • How do you have straight pipes and a flowmaster muffler? Straight pipes means there is no muffler. What series flowmaster is it?

  • sounds like a 40 series But who knows.

  • i cut out the cat and its a 40s series

  • Cutting the CAT out also doesnt make them straight pipes. If you have a muffler, you dont have straight pipes.

  • wrong wording my bad

  • Not to be a snappy queer but mine sounds like that stock with the caddy converter cut out.

  • what kind of flowmaster?

  • you are so hot.

  • god, you are so hot.

  • god, you are so hot.
