@cyber8000 The optical xray scanning imagers at work require a fixer fluid. I found these Kodak black barrels by the dumpsters at work complete with an MSDS data sheet attached (no harmful chemicals, though I wouldn't drink the water).
That's cool. I have my barrels piped in just like that but they drip/flow into the tops just a hole and a tube. does the black barrel get warm in the sunlight. Solar energy would get those up to 110 degrees.
Thanks @wbucec for your comment. I have a problem between barrels 1 and 2 where I cannot stop a leak no matter what I have tried (roof tar is messy and hasn't worked). I'm going to do as you describe with a short pipe to feed the tops of barrels 1 and 2 (3 and 4 can remain linked the same) and I think that will fix it. The black does heat up, but not enough to make the water tepid for plants. They LOVE the warmed water.
Looks good, don't like where they r,though, water & electricity don't mix well& secure them so they don't tip, i don't no if u have kids r pets? .... cool
Unfortunately that's the ONLY spot they can go due to the layout of the downspouts and driveway in the front. On the plus side they are right next to the garden on the other side of the fence. Securing those 2 would be a good idea. No kids and no pets, but that doesn't mean some won't intrude. Thanks
Where the fuck do you get a black 55g rain barrel that hasnt been pre drilled
