faith81it, it's okay to be curious... but it's difficult to explain everything over youtube. You should really try googling everything regarding FTM surgeries. We call it "Bottom Surgery", there are more than 1 options for bottom surg. and Top Surgery is the term for the chest surg. Also more than 1 option for the top surg, too.

I am glad that the vid did state that it was from 1996. The views and statements made were accurate for most for that time. Though I was I belive in Jr. High at the time, I knew that being a man was who I was. Not just some lesbian. I didn't even know what that was until my mom told me Melissa Etheridge was one.(I adore her as an artist and person!)

It's interesting as a historical piece, funny to see how even people trying to educate the world about transgenderism got their facts wrong ... I winced every time I heard a she; it's hard to believe they didn't do Loren and others the simple courtesy of the correct pronouns. Please remember this was 1996 before most people had access to the internet. (Google wasn't established until 1998) Much of the initial exploration with T use was underground and experiences passed on by word of mouth. Trans terminology had not yet been codified.
