How does it fit into dog grooming? Well it teaches the groomers that they need to concentrate on the behavior of the animal and learn to control that behavior at all times physically and emotionally. Not doing so can mean injury to either you or the animal. A seconds lapse or a misjudgement can have big consequences.

generally speaking a sheep, particularly a field lamb, isn't conditioned to a human's voice saying sit still. Disappointed they didn't show them real sheep shearing, tally high method. lambs will be kicky as hell and are more likely to cause a squeamish shearer to make a mistake, (cut them) I've had my knuckles sliced right open to the bone from sharp hooves and my wife caught one up the nostril. That was a real nose bleed, complete with tetanus shot for a dirty hoof.

I don't know why the freaked out when they had to shear sheep. sheep are a heck of allot safer then dogs.

yeah sure but sheep don't kick very much and when the do it hardly hurts because she are not very strong. dogs have claws and sharp teeth. who would you rather groom the one with little hooves and hardly any teeth or the one with big fangs and claws?
