And Berg's setting of the killing is very interesting, after all. Funny, because they are, ironically, the most tonal part of the whole score!

@dzhaughn This is one of the first film versions of Wozzeck. It is a fabulous production. Unfortunately, the sound was not perfect, as might be expected.
The translation clearly comes from the original script: Jurinac says "vier" (four) when the script says "drei" (three) (and as indicated by the subtitles).
But what does that matter? The drama well captured and sung beautifully!
