@SuperMoussey yeah im sure somebody with the name "supermoussey" would know boring when they see it because they are probably the most boring person in the world
it surely helps with finding it in the dark but I believe the LED is mainly to indicate that it is polling for the devices to make sure they are in a normal condition (much like what a smoke detectors LED is doing.) If the pull station were to be activated it would latch in a steady red LED.

the led is part of an addressable fire alarm system. it flashes when the panel is polling the device. Latch steady in alarm
