I was just pointing out why they are attracted to THUGS!! And a man can bring accross those same qualities without being one. It's a Power and Protection thing!! You can make a woman feel safe and secure without being a Thug. Some women under the age of 30 have never seen that quality of men in there age bracket outside of a Thug. So when they do see it they say he's a "Smart Thug." No it's just a Man being a Man. Look at Older Strong family men in thier 50's & 60's. Thats what they want!!
As black men we gotta stand up for what we are MEN.
Our women are not always the most comfortable. Yet we gotta be strong enough to read between the lines of all that is said about what they say they want. And what we will hear is this, "Lead me black man! But lead me in a way that I can still walk as the all knowing, all powerful, all sexy black woman that this society has painted me to be. Lead me in a way that will make me feel safe, secure and proud to be a black woman!"
It's a tough job but someone's gotta do it. We must communicate these qualities through how we carry ourselves. And being a push over won't help. Thanks again.
