I was 13 when I built my first PC. It doesn't take too long to actually install components (installing Windows and drivers takes half of the total setup time). Heck, it took about 20 minutes to rebuild my entire system when I bought a new case.
i usually put all the front header cables and power button, etc in immediately after the motherboard has been mounted in the case strictly because those small connections are harder to make with hard drives, expansion and graphics cards in place. this difficulty is substantially greater when working with a micro atx form factor build.
I think this is the only video that actually acknowledges the resistance when putting in the CPU.. You have no idea how scared I was I did something wrong when I put in my first one >.>
@TheMcMichael15 I'd say both of them are good. Personally I lean more towards Asus because I don't have any personal experience with Sapphire, but that shouldn't change your opinion. In any case try to get a video card with after market cooling. And make sure the card is dual slot as it helps for better cooling since it exhausts hot air out of the case and not inside. As for the brand I find the best way is to read reviews and consult gaming forums. Hope this helps. Good luck
@0peppers Youve got to be kidding me. Ive been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. Its just common sense.
I've been taking my computers to be assembled by third parties for years. Yet, I've been installing my own video cards, drives, ect ect for a decade now.
I put my installed my first power supply two weeks ago.
Once you get rid of the doubt, building a pc is a very easy thing. The computer desk is a harder thing to assemble.
@sdm1234567890 Under a day? Dude, it can be done in an hour TOPS. I tore mine down last week to install some new fans, and put it back together in less than half an hour. I took the motherboard out and everything. It takes longer to load the OS than it does to put the machine together most of the time.
A very nice tutorial video for building your own pc! Ofcourse there are others out there but most of them aren't as nice looking as this one! I do wish you'd have gone over the last part of cabling with all of the pwr rst led hdd usb and so on. It can be a bit of a mess. Other then that it was a great vid, thanks alot! this will be my new tip for anyone who needs a tutorial for this.
I was going to build an amd platform pc, but seing how the new bulldozer is near I'm just going to wait. Right now i'm just gonna buy the 6950 and wait for the other parts to be released. Hopefully they live up to the hype, because I know how AMD overhyped the 69xx series of video cards, also delayed the realease date and at the end of the day didn't compare to nvidia's line up.
I'm getting my partner to save for a PC because she loves using mine so much (she's coming from a crappy pre-built). I'm talking her into building it herself and I'll definitely show here this videos, it's great for modern day PC's, and made by professionals too!
How did you get the AMD heatsink on so easily, i built a AMD system for my mate which has the stock cooler withit, and it required so much force and about 30 mins of fafing to get it on?

Very clean, well done video! These "build your own PC" videos have been coming up from several channels lately, and they're nice, but I like your presentation best.
I understand how people need help for building PC. It's like a lego set, the only tricky part would be fixing a few of the mobo wires, but it's fully explained in your mobo manual. Oh well, cool video anyways.
@DrummerDudeNZ Haven't watched the whole video yet, but im 90% sure this is an old video they filmed, because that looks like the computer they gave away during the Christmas contest, which came with a watercooling loop. Looks like they filmed this while building it.
EXCELLENT installation guide ! I've been building computers for years now so I haven't learned anything new, but for people who just bought their first system, I think it's the perfect guide. You can't explain better than that in less than 11 minutes. Great idea to advise people to consult their motherboard's manual for additional details, especially for the connexions from the case to the motherboard. Also, check your manual to know in which slot you should insert your memory modules.
i could have use this like amoth ago , still good video !
but really the hardest part is that header and shit wiring , could have gone more in depth on that part ? i mean all the other parts are kind of intuitive.
