@TeDuaMalakie This pumice 'stone' is designed for cleaning porcelain. It's really not that messy as you are seeing mostly the grit which comes off of the pumice stone. You should give it a try at least once. Very environmental friendly as well. Cleaning with chemicals will only do so much good, especially with actual stains, etc. (in my experience with cleaning toilets). Thanks for your comments. Have a great afternoon! Joe :0
@Devan5028 You should be able to get pumice stones at your local hardware store or even try a pool supply company/store. Look around & I'm sure it will be worth your while! Joe :0
@ASLforever100 I too am glad you found me!! Earmark me as one of your favorites, OK? If you subscribe to me, you will be assured of never missing any new videos I upload to my channel, as I do this often. I'm glad the pumice stone works for you! Thanks for dropping me a line. Joe :0
@dzogchen With your experience, what would you say would be the easy way to clean a toilet. If a pumice stone is not the fastest, simplest, quickest, & easiest way, I would like to know what is. "Joe" always wants to be on the cutting edge of innovation so lay it on me!...lol Joe :0
@sweetchristinaful I'm with you. In fact, I don't know of one person who "loves" to clean their toilet(s). You'll like it more if you use a pumice stone. Try it. Thanks for your comments. Joe :0
@1tigerblood I'm not really a cleaning type of guy but when I get in the mood, I can clean with the best of them!.....provided I have my pumie!! Thanks for commenting. Joe :0
@catquack You can find pumice stones at most hardware stores. If you can't find it, look in the pool supply area at the hardware store.....or at a pool supply store. Thanks for continuing to watch my videos! Joe :0
@rolling422 Cleaning up a toilet is actually kind of fun.....when you use a pumice stone. I like it when you see fruits from your labor, & that means a clean toilet for a change!...lol Joe :0
@brothersamuel100 What do you think. Are you going to be a hero & get in there & clean your toilet?....now that I've shown you how easy it is?!!....lol Thanks for sending me your comments. Joe :0
Vinegar removes water stains without scratching. Hydrogen peroxide also works well, as does baking soda. Of course, they require time to sit, but they don't damage the porcelain. Anything that causes scratches in the porcelain isn't good because dirt collects in them, so it'll get dirty faster, and may even be harder to clean, especially if the scratches are deeper than the finish.
@YY4Me133 I've used pumice stones for years, on toilets, & have never really seen any scratches. I'm not sure a pumice stone is strong enough to make a scratch in porcelain....are you sure? All I know is it's worked for me for years. Thanks for your thoughts & ideas re: cleaning a toilet. Joe :0
@VideoJoeKnows The only thing I've used a pumice stone on is my feet. The kind you used may not be as rough. I just shared my methods because it seemed like the right place to do it. I don't like using harsh chemicals. I use baking soda for most cleaning tasks, so I tried it in my toilet, and it works beautifully. One time I had some vinegar I wanted to get rid of, and remembered it removes water stains from glass bowls, so I poured it in the toilet. Worked great. The same with peroxide.
@YY4Me133 That's right. You can use a pumice stone on your feet to smooth out callouses....works great. Thanks again for your tips on what other products will also clean a toilet....easily! Your comments will be greatly appreciate for anyone who chooses to read these comments, so thanks! Baking soda, vinegar, peroxide....check. Joe :0
If you keep using pumice stone you'll eventually damage your toilet. Here's a trick that works. Use 1 part dishwashing liquid and 1 part vinegar mixed together. It works with a little scrubbing. Works great also on pots and pans that got burnt food stuck on them.
@GoldenShellback1 I've used pumice stones for years & have never been able to damage a toilet. Pumice is made to be used on porcelain. Thanks for your ideas on cleaning a toilet. I appreciate you sending them to me. Joe :0
@cyborlite I've only known about this for 30 years or so, so I don't consider it a great idea.....if you already know about it!...lol Try it out & you'll see. By the way.....I get $1 for everyone that's sold.........just kidding!......I wish! Joe :0
@ASLforever100 It sometimes will be called by a different name too (pumice stick, cleaning stick, etc.) so don't be discouraged if you don't first see it. Thanks for commenting. Let me know how clean you can get your toilet OK?!..lol Joe :0
@coolsoandrew That's a good idea......if the toilet was 25 years old!!....lol I want this toilet to last quite a few more years & I'm sure it will, by using the good 'ole pumice stone. Thanks for commenting. Joe :0
