Nas is just one of those mc's that when I first heard (it was written album) I was HOOKED, listening to every word, getting lost in the lyrics etc. He's the only one of the last 'greats' from the 90's whos albums are still mind blowing/original. Used to love old Jigga in the 90's, even though I was into my 'grimey' shit, & always hated that 'player' shit, jiggas lyrics just won me over cause it was fire. But he fell off, just like most. It definitely was a complex line considering he's implying a similar attack as his famous diss track as well. Also on a certain level he likely hoped that drug would come to mind. Multiple dimensions to it.
