Wonderful! I fell in love with a baby Turkey and baby Goose that a friend had. They had each gotten away from their mothers (my friend owned them) at about 4 days old. I helped her raise them, in the house (not running free though). Since then poultry has lost it's appeal as a food.
i cant believe someone doesnt like this story....thats the kind of 'person' Saint Francis of Asissi is waiting for. He is the Patron Saint of animals.
This is precious and brought me to tears! How special this bond is, how ever strange it is. I hope they can continue the relationship for Maria's lifetime.
This is zoophilia in reverse. The goose in love with a biped human animal.This love also draws the human closer to the goose to love the goose,and all animals even more.
The same thing happend to me! i rescued a goose--he looks just like Maria--from a busy street and he bonded to me immediately and followed me home. For four days he followed me everywhere, let me pick him up, sat in my lap and was a complete love...but very jealous! He was quite messy and noisy, so I found him a great home in the country. The experience was great!
this is such a precious story. it would be such a better world if people would have respect for other living animals (including other people) and realize that we all are individuals with own personalities and have a right to life. now if this man could only meet a cow perhaps he might quit eating red meat too.
When I was a kid we has geese on our farm. Let me tell you that you don't need a dog when you have geese and YES they will attack if they don't know you.

@songbyrd5 I did that too, but when you click to watch the video on FB, it won't show, it tells everyone to go to the YouTube channel to view. Don't know why they did it, especially with this type video. It would get a lot more views if people could actually watch it and then share on FB, or other social media. It's kind of restricting, but I still love the video, but won't put it back up on my FB page. I don't like sending people, literally, all over the net though my posts on FB.

"Maria" is in the Zoo now (pending drainage of Echo Park lake) where they found out "she" is really a "Mario"!
