I think alot of you are forgetting that the people who are casted, need to be physically able. I get where ppl are coming from saying they all look the same and blah blah blah.. BUT, remember, if you cant pass a physical and you arent of sound mind and body, you really have no place on this show. I think Robyn does a great job, despite the lack of Canadians and entirely too similar characters on this season (Lane/Hayden.. Brittney/Monet.. Branden/Rachael.. They were like the same people)

Robyn -- I suspect you already have an idea who's most likely to win. Please cast different types - the token 40 year old looked younger and was still buff. How about a 50 year old divorcee who needs the money and with a few extra pounds? Or do you think you have to be a body builder under 40 to be acceptable? Take a look at Susan Sarandon at 65. Sure, she might screw up some of the physical challenges, but so do lots of the houseguests.

This season is pretty bland as far as the HG goes. Seems like they cast 2 of the same "Types" until they had the house filled. I think it would be more interesting if they had made it a true experiment and like others said, put in at least one older person, maybe even one handicapped person, someone of ethnicity. Instead of your bland, corn fed, white and blond and super model body type people. They have your token gay cast member, but other than that, just very bland to me. But I still watch!

The formula is; one or two older people, one or two blacks, one or two homosexuals (always over-represented), 3 or 4 girls with fake boobs, 3 or 4 jocks or muscular guys, 10 or so young adults with very little life experience. First prerequisite = low IQ. Where did you find these people......at an Obama rally?

All the people going on about how this isn't a diverse cast because most of them are white need to shut up. They could be of greek, italian, russian, german, british heritage but just because there heritage isn't from a country that gives them black or brown skin the casting director is being racist and there's no diversity?

CBS/ Robyn Kass seems to be afraid of casting a more diverse cast. Lately the show seems to be trying to recreate previous HGs types, instead of casting different individual types. Out of 13 people, this cast could've included more variety. As of now they primarily fit the same mold(young and white). If this show is supposed to be a social experiment, then it makes more sense to put cast individuals from all walks of life in the house instead of so many similar types. BB missed the boat again.

@bobby123greenhalgh Bobby, I don't see how any one watching can't see that BB has become lately, While they've always had young contestants, they also weren't afraid to cast older HGs. It really makes for a more interesting cast when its truly diverse. I just find it puzzling when someone thinks its negative to want to see a more diverse cast of real contestnats, opposed to several stereotyped recruits seeking exposure. I watch for good gameplay from all types of HGs.

@Parkette1 Yes I did and that does not change my POV. Proof in the pudding that this isn't the best cast b/c so many of them barely know the game, then act afraid to make any real big moves. As a BB fan....I believe I had a very VALID point in my earlier post. Casting Dir/AG went too strongly for a certain mold, and looking for showmances to increase ratings. I'm more interested in seeing good game play over hookups. Plus, i'd just like to see a variety of different types, ages, races, etc.

I have no idea. but I can only assume the reason why they do not have these shows in Canada is because Canada's television doesn't have any rights to do these exact reality tv shows. With Big Brother, since it is just a generic concept based off George Orwell's 1948 dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, over 70 countries had Big Brother on their Television. You would need to ask ur locals biggest channel to start their own big brother show, if you'd like it. It's all about the number of viewers.

And even if that were the case, which I don't believe for a second, it's still not an excuse. Jordan (BB11), as well as MANY other previous houseguests, was scouted by a producer. She was at a bar when they approached her to be on the show. When she didn't show up to casting, they called her and begged her to reconsider.

Oh yeah i saw the Big brother Quebec which i find it annoying, because its all in french and not all people in Canada speak french fluent. I think global or ctv needs to have the rights to make their own show, and have it somewhere in Toronto or Vancouver.
