Well I read Kanji so I really can only comment on the song and video clips. Though I think I would full get it if I could understand the writing.
I like the song, really nice. As for the video clips there were times when it wasn't synced with the audio but besides that it was really good.

You don't have to. You can if you want to but you don't have to. I'm planning on learning to read Kanji at some point anyway. This will help.
