isn't it strange how when you look back at the vids of the 80's and 90's there was a kind excitment thats missing today, fashion has sort of taken over , the fizz is no longer there. Back then there was sexy and sassy all roled into one I reckon there's way too much skank goin on today :D
omg I was looking for this song the other ight but I couldnt reember the band name. Now Imagine what I come across by random looking up other aussie songs!!! wooooooooooo
@zaniac100 it was always a fine line. There was such a back story, jealousy was only one small part. They had a real love/hate thing going on. Each one of them are/were great people and when they came together as a group it was magic.
thanks for posting. i directed this clip and yes that outfit came down from the management as THE outfit. I remember looking at it and thinking, mmm no complaints from me. I'm pretty sure the male dancer with the dreadlocks is a young jason coleman (of So You Think You Can Dance fame). Can anyone confirm that?!
A lot of people want to believe in Scientology because it offers an easy answer to what is in fact a complex problem. No one wants to deal with chemical imbalances, mental trauma, and other such subtle variances, when its easier to hold onto two cans, watch a needle move, and go "yep, there's my problem".
@OpenComments The emerging trend in psych thinking is that the cognitive precedes the pathological in most instances - ie our behaviour changes our brain chemistry. I am not condoning Scntly ( especially not your disingenuous representation of it ) as I believe it contains a lot of falseness but they part about avoiding psychotropics is useful.
I confess I remember liking it, but never bought the single (back when you bought singles from music stores, and you had the option to choose between cd or cassette).. Does anyone remember Brashs?
Do any fellow Aussies here remember the promo ad for the 1988 Australian Bicentennary? The Dark Haired Woman in this Filmclip and Rick Price sang the song "Celebration of a nation - Let's make it great in '88". Showing my age I know, lol
I heard Holly Garnett fell into deep depression when her brother Martin Garnett went to Jail in Thailand back in the 1990's for drug trafficking and got a 40 year sentence.
She then was admitted to Sydney's Saint Vincent's Psychiatric Hospital. And later committed suicide in the early 2000's.
I have been trying to find out more information about Holly in her post Euphoria days. Can anyone help? I know she left the band in 1992 - but can't seem to find any info on what she did next. It's so sad.
I've had this vague memory of some film clip of this amazingly beautiful blonde girl dancing in a chain dress. I was starting to think that my very imaginative young mind was playing tricks on me hahaha.
Finally we meet again :-) Love that dress. Still as hot as it was way back when!
its hilarious to watch this again after so many years. i remember at the time we all thought that keren had been pushed aside because she wasnt good enough looking compared to holly. looking at this video now the director has an obvious bias towards holly - keren has such unflattering shots it probably makes her look far worse.
awww thanks for this video and the history about it, brings back heaps of childhood memories! I guess Euphoria were the early 90s version of Madison Avenue (but heaps better!)
Directed by Lee Rogers - future husband of Kate Ceberano. This was filmed the day before Euphoria flew to the US to film a new video for 'Love You Right', & Europe for a performance at an EMI Records conference in Germany. The band members unfortunately werent getting along which carried into the overseas trip and promotion. This song was used as a promo for Channel 9's 'Sale Of The Century'. Unlike their debut, this second single actually did feature the vocals of all three band members.
Holly was a great girl been gone a long time miss her then still do now via con dios chicca heaven is a better place for having you.

Great act, nice happy sound. I heard Holly Garnett (the blond singer) died in the early 2000s. Very sad R.I.P.

This is quite good. I like this song and not because that blonde was in a chain dress.

It does appear to be true. Futhermore she was lip-synching. I was the brunettes vocals.

"Achy Breaky Heart" by Billy Ray Cyrus.

Not the best thing Billy Ray ever produced. That would have to be Miley ; )

I actually worked for the management of this mob they were all that far up themselves no wonder they broke up due to in fighting.

I would like to see you prove that I didnt work for there management ... I was Holly Garnets protection analyst for 6 months.

Sorry, no. They were not "that far up themselves". Protection analyst? Before, during or after Euphoria?

The outfit was bought for her in New York and presented to her as her wardrobe for that shoot. She worked it. Without complaint.
