  • The elephant room was created by macdonald for pastors of different theological views to converse. the end picture only shows them lovingly disagreeing. driscoll even stated, that olsteens gift may be that of encouragement and he is still a brother, but he disagrees with him on the whole prosperity gospel issue. everyone do your research. ;) and watch my music video "you and iPhone".

  • What a wasted opportunity the ER was...and people actually paid $100 for a ticket to see this?

  • Ok, so what IS hopeful is that Driscoll and MacDonald HAVE spoken out against this. Who knows what is going to happen in the future. It is simply impossible for us to know. There could be some serious repentance in the future. There is always hope. and please don't reply with some "God gave them over, you are naive" shtick, because I'm not say that that isn't possible either. It could go either way.

  • @janeym *saying.

  • a dollar all the time is what i ment to put....

  • this is so dumb, td is our Bishop and he doesn't just preached about a dollar ....talk about your selective quarrels

  • It's pretty easy to point to false gospel since it is ALL false gospel, lol.

  • Is T.D Jakes the elephant? :P

  • Comment removed

  • was that the 3 of them hanging out together at the end of the video???

  • @jaredontv that was the elephant room. they discuss different topics interpretations of the bible with pastors of different belief. they don't not love the other pastors they just disagree with them.

  • I think they have made this shift because their churches are getting poorer and they need a way to rationalize their increasing need to pressure the people to support them in the manner in which they are accustomed. I had never heard of the Elephant Room. When I watched this vid: /watch?v=MPPZGXVodxM&feature=related I understood what THIS video was all about.

  • To Jakes' defense, he stopped preaching prosperity a while ago. I think Dr. Evans influenced him to stop. He preaches more of a black liberation thing regarding finances, which I love.

  • @takitheterrible How about SIN liberation?

  • @Psylliumhead American racism and prejudice is sin that oppresses people, and internalized victims must be liberated from its snare. It is not enough to get them saved, but you must reset their way of thinking so they are able to progress, succeed, and thrive in the world in familial, spiritual, and financial manners. I am a full adherent to black liberation theology, and I reject anything that says that blacks should have an "it is what is it" mentality towards facts and statistics.

  • @takitheterrible If a person is saved, it is the job of the Holy Spirit to 'reset their thinking', based on the Word of God. How can someone claim to be doing this 'work of the Lord' when what they are preaching and teaching contradict what the Bible actually says? The so called "Prosperity Gospel" is another Gospel, and according to the Bible we should therefore reject it completely. "Black Liberation Theology" ? is a another Gospel too!

  • @gmanigault I don't believe in the "prosperity gospel"; it's ideology is neither false nor true. It works for some and not for others. Black liberation is not another Gospel, as it is not a gospel. It's a theology that supports the advancement of the descendants of enslaved Americans through socio-theological means. t doesn't present a new view of Jesus Christ. Please learn the definition of Gospel.

However, slave holders had "another Gospel," including George Whitefield. That is a sin.

  • This is sad because Driscoll and MacDonald have preached against false prosperity preaching in the past and now embraced one of the worst at it. The Elephant room didn't do anything about that elephant of modalism and prosperity gospel. Now MacDonald is separating himself from sound teaching while Driscoll is claiming extra-biblical revelations. The true church must be watchful and discerning because this is going to get worst. This is why this ER2 was such a big deal; it revealed the truth.

  • @2timothy23 what do you mean extra biblical revelations. .. show me where you get this.

  • @2timothy23 extra biblical? he believes god speaks outside of scripture but never in contradiction to scripture.

  • @SterlingTate that's debatable

  • I think the Elephant room and complaining about the Elephant room is a big giant distraction. We have other things that we have to deal, and dealing with a silly conference is not one of them.

I have, also, grown tired of these celebrity preachers, but I have, also, grown tired of the other celebrity preachers counterattacking these events. All they end up doing, is promoting something that nobody has heard about. The truth is - nobody on the outside world cares about these events.

  • @exiled30 If we don't "deal(ing) with a silly conference" where a false gospel is being preached in the name of our Lord, what do we do about 2 Timothy 4:2 where it explicitly says to "rebuke, correct, and encourage with great patience and teaching?"

It is sad that it needs done, but the truth of the true Gospel has to be revealed to silence the impostors.

  • @jamesrwill Careful about discernment. At times it turns into gossip and a distraction. This conference is not the epitome of historical Christianity. People are making a bigger deal of this than what it is. Would it not be wiser to keep guard over your own household? The verse you brought up was talking about preaching and defending the Gospel, yourself. The hype over this conference is about beating down somebody you disagree with more so than refuting. It has nothing to do with you.

  • @exiled30 Where in the world did that come from? I did not mention "discernment." I never said the conference was the epitome of historical Christianity.Yes, my own household needs its attention, but at the same time, I can defend the Gospel.Yes, the verse I brought up tells us to defend the Gospel. I'm not beating anyone down, just stating the truth. I never said it had anything to do with me.

  • @jamesrwill I said these things because what rises up inside of you when you watch these videos or somebody saying these men are wrong? Are you pleased because the Gospel is being defended by truth or it's exciting to see somebody being taken down? I see more refutation through youtube clips than Bible verses. It's almost like Jerry Springer of Christianity. These events are being made into something bigger than what they are. The refutation is driven more with hype than Biblical discussion.

  • @exiled30 Did Paul mention the name "Jesus Christ" every time he preached? No. We don't have to quote the Bible to ad nauseum every time we post something. That's absurd!

No one would understand. I am "pleased" if the Gospel is represented truthfully. I'm not "pleased" if it isn't. If/When these people are presenting a false gospel, it needs to be pointed out. We don't want others to think all Christians are like that. We're not all prosperity preachers craving money.

  • @jamesrwill I think there is a lot of assumptions going on. If TD Jakes is a false teacher, then, let it be known why the Bible says so. All I'm seeing people do is putting down the 3 men here, and not stating why they are being refuted because the "top" thinkers just assume everybody knows what they're talking about.

If our refutation of somebody is outside of the Bible, then, it's our human opinion. It may become a skewed opinion of the issue and the person and may be a skewed refutation.

  • This is the great irony of Mr. Jakes being welcomes into the 'Elephant Room.' Even if he has changed his tuned on Modalism... which isn't totally clear at this point, he teaches Word of Faith clearly and plainly. And that is heresy. No matter how they try to cut it, they allowed a heretic to share a stage with them.

  • TD Jakes mentioned money once (with the "gold", which in my mind still seemed about blessings in general). The rest seemed like it could easily have been about grace, joy, peace, love, etc etc etc. I'm no Jakes fan, but I'm also ignorant to his teachings... I know he has bad associations, but these video clips did nothing to prove your point.

  • @natemup He suggested that Naomi and Sarah had a homosexuality relationship and that there is nothing wrong with it. (This was to appease his tithers who are gay) When the government was threatening to remove televangelists and preachers from television, he attempted to protect his income by saying that he sees himself as a "motivational speaker". Is that what he has been telling us that GOD called him to do?

  • @matuber Dang, I need to see some evidence for that one! Haha

  • @natemup Be sure to take the time to research or google it if it's important to you.

  • Totally out of context video. You shouldn't post such video by cutting and editing it in a way to satisfy your own sake.

  • @albertliong8 Yep.

  • :)

  • 1 Timothy 4 1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

  • Mmmmmmm that sure looks like a load of snippets out of context put together for the purpose of accusing a brother.

Now if you are believer and you honestly believe someone is going astray in their teaching your 1st port of call is to approach them directly (James 5:19-20; Matthew 18:15; 2 Timothy 2:24-26)

If you've attempted that and could not access them and really looked at the context of their teaching, then go ahead and demonstrate where they're teaching differs from the Word.

  • @gracetruthguy I couldn't have said it better bro.

  • No TD Jakes, you can't buy a larger needle...

  • @kiwifrogg Please analyze what you are saying and how you are saying it. What's your goal?

  • @chafish The way of the master team like to go out on the street and try to guilt people into the church, using their same old spiel that leaves that person feeling guilty about just being alive. Then they give that person the news that its all OK they can be saved, some will understand the others will believe that they can do no wrong because they will be saved. They need the finger pointed back at them, Using clips from YouTube without the owners permission is stealing.I have no real goal.

  • @chafish What I am unsure of however is what that has to do with you? I have right to my own opinion, as do you, I don't need your permission to post a comment about how I feel over any issue. This sort of infighting between churches is destroying the church, Todd can do so much better with the power this forum has given him. Instead his team use it to attack other faiths, is not up to him to decide who is right. I want to some of their own work.

  • Just another example of the superstitious making it up as it suits them.

  • This is only the beginning. All Christian so called ministries that have placed money as the ultimate objective of life will in time crash, just as it seems our nation is about to do. We need to place our trust in Christ alone, without listening to the money whores!

  • @yesqueesbrother Kiwifrog is judging Todd by appeareances. That's why I said it.

  • @yesqueesbrother Just in case, Im not defending this false preachers, I'm actually saying that those who are doing God's work (with integrity) is worthy of his wages.

  • Wow some people here are reaally blind, open your eyes people this video is telling the truth, read your bibles

  • @kiwifrog The Scripture (the bible) says that the laborer is worthy of his wages.

  • @chafish Does it allow him to steal others work and republish it in the name of God? He's not working here, he is simply posting stolen videos while attacking other peoples beliefs. At lease 3 commandments broken there.....Oh that's OK, he'll just repent at the end for his sins, and do what he likes in the interim.

  • Whats going on with christianity today?, how can you try to coexist with heretics who twist and mangled the holy word of God that is like trying to make peace with the devil.

Christianity today specially the celebrity pastors are buncha panzies what it is the narrow way to God they are making more broader and broader. Like John Macarthur says the best preachers is at your church.

  • Sometimes Driscoll is awesome...other times he's like =O

  • Thanks for confirming that for me.

  • i love how at the end how all the guys preaching against Jakes(Gospel) are seemingly fellowshipping with him at a table.Ironic.

  • @kiwifrogg you make a point. I am interested in a justigication as well

  • Kind of ironic that Wretched has a stab at these guys for making money of their brethren, when they have a monthly charge to join their club. They use this money to produce all the videos they make from stolen clips from around the Internet.

    Mike,

  • @kiwifrogg Nothing ironic at all about the video. Do you know what the prosperity "gospel" is? For a good article that explains it google "The Bankruptcy of the Prosperity Gospel" at Bible.org.

  • @kiwifrogg Not ironic at all. No one is making a "stab" at anyone for making an honest living. These guys are making merchandise of people, and most of them live lavish lifestyles while begging for money. Not so with Wretched guys. It takes money to operate a show. Nothing wrong with it at all...

  • @2preachtheword OK so that's not a suit that Todd wears?, he doesn't make a living from his christian radio job?, that set, how much was spent on that? The clips they show are done so with permission(btw they are not)? The log needs to be removed from his own eye before flicking the speck from another's.

    Mike.

  • @kiwifrogg Mike, there is nothing wrong with making a reasonable living, whether it is Todd and the gand at wretched, or a preacher. The issue is the prosperity gospel, that tells people if they will send X number of dollars, God will bless them X-fold. Some of these "pastors" live in 10,000 square foot homes and fly 20 million dollar jets around. That is excessive, and fleecing people. If you can't see the difference, I can't help you.

  • @2preachtheword I fully agree with you its wrong, I cringe when I switch over to our christian channel, and there they are asking for money again. We have a classic example here in New Zealand Brian Tamaki. What I am getting at is wretched is using other peoples work (without permission) to make money also. At least the others work right or wrong is original.

  • I don't understand why you Todd, attack Mark Driscoll. I like you both. I think you both are on the exact same page when it comes to the word. What gives?!

  • @FarmboyRecords Todd isn't attacking Driscoll, he is uses Driscoll's logic to attack the stupidity of the prosperity gospel that is growing out of control. Todd is very much in agreement with Mark Driscoll.

  • @CalamityStriker

okay, good. maybe I'm a little paranoid. I think I saw a video where Todd toke a little jab at Mark for saying that he saw a prophetic vision, even tho Mark himself said he didn't believe that happens anymore.

  • @FarmboyRecords If Todd said that, he was referring to Driscoll's book on marriage. Apparently Driscoll claims God gave him pornographic visions of his wife having sex with other men in highschool.

Regarding Todd lumping Driscoll and Jakes. They both participated in "Elephant Room", and they apparently asked Jakes not believing in the Trinity, because he is a Oneness teacher as well as prosperity gospel.

  • ummm, i think that one of the purposes of the 'elephant room' conversations is to have pastors speak and discuss differences face to face.

  • What did Mark do wrong? The only wrong one was TD Jake's....right? Someone confirm for me.

  • @chrissy07cook Confirmed. The video is meant to reveal the false teachings of the prosperity gospel, an example of TD Jakes is used to show the false teaching. The clips of Driscoll and Macdonald are used to provide sound biblical logic for why TD Jakes and other prosperity gospel preachers are false teachers. Joel Osteen and Robb Bell are other false teachers that use the prosperity gospel and aspects of it.

  • @chrissy07 mark has always preached against prosperity gospel

  • Yeah baby.....maybe now more people will wake up to Driscoll and the possibility that he may not have the interests of the bride of Christ at heart.....Driscoll ....who is your lord ??

  • the pastor also focuses on prayer, spiritual warfare, spiritual growth, sin, flesh, etc...but they also talk about sowing seeds and prosperity....they have even invited mike murdoch (ugh) and jesse duplantis. Jesse Duplantis especially blew me away with his twistings of God's word for prosperity...I remember crying so badly to The Lord after seeing a different speaker at the church because of the things he said. I couldn't fathom why God wanted me to be at a church that endorsed people like that

  • I have a confession to make. I go to a sort of WOF church...and I've battled with it in the year since I reconciled with God because I feel led to go there. I've fought the Lord, cried to Him and PRAYED yet still feel led to go to this church....I sort of don't know what else to do but God knows all things and I will obey Him because at this point, I've asked and asked for confirmation and have got it repeatedly and hope it's for a short time. I'm being strongly led to join sunday school.

  • @stop08it 1 John 4- Test the Spirits. Don't believe a spirit who contradicts the Word of God

  • It was good to hear this morning that Voddie Bauchaum cancelled this weekend's event with James MacDonald. I hope more influential men will step up and start dividing the clear line that is shown in scripture. (2 Jn 1:9)

  • @MustardSeedish Absolutely dear Sister. If you haven't already, take a look at Matt Chandler's sermon at Code Orange Revival. Steven Furtick took it down from his website. Seems he didn't like what Matt had to say. It was too biblical and essentially too much true gospel for him. The Vipers are everywhere. Thanks indeed to Voddie for drawing a line.

  • Comment removed

  • So... What is wrong with what mark said? he was preaching against th prosperity gospel.

  • @TheHijodeluz you WERE paying attention!

  • EAR TICKLERS & RAVENOUS WOLVES, GREEDY GOD HATERS.

  • @cheesypasta FILTHY DOG TALK IS UNACCEPTABLE HERE .CLEAN UP OR SHIP. OUT

  • @zionsgates that could have been done with a bit more love

  • @swimmerfish34 not really !

  • Thank you for not remaining silent and compromising with false teachings that have overtaken the Church here.

I wish someone would expose the idolatry in the Church where the Country is set on a pedestal above God as Christian's partake in the world system and try to get their latest lying idol in political power instead of praying for the Church to repent and return to Jesus alone.

  • I get Wretched's point. I hope MacDonald and Driscoll realize it.

  • @MartelTheBondservant second that

  • Ok I am confused.. I saw nothing that Driscoll did wrong.. he called it out on the carpet.. everything driscoll said was right.. as for the end.. I disagree with many brothers and sisters inChrist and i can still sit at a table and love them..

  • @wifeofcdh Wretched is calling out the elephant in the room that Driscoll and MacDonald ignored at the ER2 conference.

  • What message is this video made of clips trying to convey?

  • @SaintMichael82 Recently, the three of them sat down in fellowship as "brothers" and Jakes made a half hearted attempt to proclaim an orthodox view of the Trinity, but he failed in that.

The point of the video though is that his prosperity gospel (which isn't gospel at all) message wasn't addressed and at the end of it all, it was just a love fest.....

  • What happened to James and Mark? Pray for Mark and James... Pray that God bring them to repentance... pray that God would keep those in the Acts29 churches to hold fast to theology - to the ESSENTIAL doctrine of the Trinity - and to stand FIRM against the heresy that is utterly disgusting to God known as the "Prosperity gospel". It isn't good news. it is an idolatrous cancer.

  • I can only imagine how much Internet Discernment Blogger guy is salivating over this right now. Oh yeah that would be Ken Silva.

  • WOW! Great job!

What happened to James? Is he been hypnotized?

It's shocking how quickly he turned away from his convictions... Or maybe he didn't know who TD Jakes really is? I've red his tweets how warmly he had met TD Jakes and how positive was his view of him...

  • Driscoll and MacDonald probably won't be going "Radical" anytime soon...good preachers but I'm getting tired of the self-aggrandizing nature of these guys...and basically this whole celebrity preacher world. One thing's for sure they're getting all the uptight Reformed bloggers' knickers in a notch (and for that they're to be commended). Grown tired of this whole scene. Jacob Prasch is where it's at.

  • Ok, trying to decipher the title here after seeing that pic of McDonald, Driscoll and Jakes all buddy-buddy at the end along with listening to that song about McDonald's Conference on the right. Basically, there's an elephant in the room, got it!

  • @Earthfart Since TD Jakes has not yet renounced modalism, I personally wouldn't put him inside the camp of christianity. This trinity error (or at best confusion) is in addition to proclaiming a different (prosperity) gospel. According to Gal 1:9, that alone is enough to put him outside the camp. There is no agreeing to disagree here, there is only the truth and error. Since neither of these are secondary issues, we cannot extend grace to those who differ from the Bible.

  • I dont think TD Jakes is going to fit through the eye of that needle....

  • @droptozro looooooooooooooool well said!

  • @droptozro hilarious reply!:)

  • @droptozro I actually LOL'd.

  • @droptozro :)

  • @droptozro LOL Amen

  • It's so hard to find a church that doesn't preach the "prosperity gospel"

  • I want millions in dollars too. Oh, my own 2 million dollar house would also be great!

  • What's pathetic is the hypocrisy of this video. MacDonald makes over $1.3M just in salary from his church. He also lives in a $2M home in the Western Chi-town burbs. hyposcrisy.

  • @its2qik How does his income and home hake him a hypocrite? Prosperity isn't a bad thing, and if his church decides to pay him that - that's their business and it's fine with me. The prosperity "gospel" is something altogether different from an individual having prosperity. btw, I am heartily saddened by the elephant conference.

  • @its2qik It's not hypocritical to have nice things, it would be if they preached having nice things are wrong. Besides that this video is not about hypocrisy, it's about a false prosperity gospel being preached in our churches which says, God will bless you with health and wealth based on how much you give to him.

  • Was there a debate or something that went on that I missed?

  • James & Mark gave T.D. Jakes credibility with Elephant Room 2.

  • I attended a Kenneth Copeland convention once with my uncle, I didn't know much about the man till that day. It was then that I realized how Idolatrous the health, wealth and prosperity gospel really is. They have renamed Mammon, and now call it Jesus.

  • @Earthfart I'm glad for the Elephant Room Discussions. At least they are being the bigger men and showing the example of grace they preach.

  • @Earthfart I am disappointed in the fact that men of differing points of view cannot sit and discuss the issues like men and at least agree to disagree instead of going at each others throats. its like thats what most of my reformed counterparts want to see...an all out war...instead of calm, mature, face-to-face, honest, sensible interaction. Mark and James will never be advocates of Prosperity teaching...but that does not mean that they cant at least treat Jakes with some dignity.

  • @gamhazell Agreed. Their discussion was concerning the essentials of the Christian faith, not all the individual things they don't agree with each other on. I don't agree with Prosperity Theology (Neither do Driscoll or MacDonald) but that doesn't mean we can't embrace brothers as brothers, even though they say stupid things. They are all inside the camp of Christianity, just not all in the same tent (And some are kinda off towards the edge of the camp). Thank God for grace!

  • So, how do I get all this money?

  • @Earthfart To be honest...if you know anything about the week's events surrounding the Elephant Room you would know that this video is calling Driscoll and McDonald on what is being described as contaminated association. The beck and forth between their ideas and Jakes' culminates at the end where the video shows all 3 at the table depicting some form of fellowship. I don't like the backlash.

  • @Earthfart having not seen the video referenced, but having seen almost all clips of Mark on youtube, I lean toward the interpretation that Mark and this Macdonald guy are just trying to be cordial while still being confrontational. Nonetheless, we ought to be careful that we don't esteem any man more than their due, since it is God that ought to be the focus--this goes for both Driscoll and Wretched. If they're both Biblical, they SHOULD get along. Theoretically.

  • Prosperity gospel IS supported biblically.... And just like the rest of the bible, it's horse manure.

  • @jwissick nice try.......again. Go away! lol

  • @jwissick It is, I need to go and find it. Seriously, tell me so I may go and read and test what you are saying. Thanks.

  • @Shoots1978

    Malachi 3:10

    Matthew 25:14–30

    Philippians 4:19

    3 John 2

  • @jwissick What about Ephesians that say's talks about spiritual blessing later? Would those not be directed towards Israel at those people during that time? Well, I am still going to read those.

  • @Earthfart The way I see it, wretched is trying to make sure that Driscoll and the other guy don't get soft, by letting 'em know that they're being watched. But I do think that Driscoll is not intending to endorse the black dude; probably just challenging him to come clean by debating him.

  • The only thing this is missing is Joel Osteen, for a 2 vs 2 video.

I'm glad to see Wretched isn't mortal enemies with Mark Driscoll. One video you posted a while back had me concerned; now I'm more convinced that you were truly questioning him out of love. Watching out for each other, like true Christians should, so we don't stray from the Path.

  • @Earthfart you're not the only one bro...i'm with you all the way. And I'm a fan of Todd Friel. I'm shaking my head the whole week at the back lash from the Elephant Room. I can't believe the ridiculousness. Does sitting in a room and talking about differences now render Driscoll and McDonald Heretics and Idolators and false teachers and whatever else they are being called? Man the closed mindedness of some people.

  • The said thing about it is that MacDonald and Driscoll are heretics just like Jakes is. But, the best liars always carry an element of truth with them.

  • @Earthfart

It's a cut-and-paste comparison. It's not downing Driscoll or MacDonald, rather using their words to expose TDJakes

  • Wow. So I guess MacDonald and Driscoll hate prosperity but love popularity. Either one you choose you're an idolater. They're just as bad as Jakes!

  • T.D FAKES..

  • i get everything UNTIL the end,are they like BUDDIES?

  • @TheCh1212 It's a thing called "the Elephant room" Where a bunch of pastors together and talk theology and debate on stuff. James McDonald started the second session of it this month. It's a thing they did last year with different pastors such as Greg Laurie, David Platt and so forth. This session they debated on the theology of the Trinity. Thus, what you see this picture is at the end.

  • @TrevorCO77X I think ive seen it before but what im asking is,is that Mark and James spoke AGAINST prosperity preaching and then there having a heart to heart with Jakes?? lol mabe im just a more Mean Chrisitan sorry mabe i would have treated Jakes with respect too, despite his heresy..or idk lol is the full vid somewhere?

  • WHEW driscoll isnt hated on in this one. ainokea i like him.

  • One word for it: IDOLATRY

  • Hmm... what's this about getting money?

  • Dear Pastor Driscoll and Pastor McDonald...I just wanna thank you for showing your true colors. Your wolf fangs are showing. Bishop Jakes...well...I already knew about your foolishness.

  • @CSIsouthdallas

You didn't watch the video, did you?

  • @aveyowyns i did. apparently you didn't get the purpose of the video, did you? Did you not catch the last photo still? The entire video was made to mock Mcdonald and driscoll because they've recently switched their positions and begun to support TD JAKES. duh

  • @CSIsouthdallas actually they are attempting to maintain their trinitarian and anti-prosperity beliefs, yet allow for others to differ from them. Still not OK in my book, but not the same as switching their own positions. I believe Driscoll and McDonald are still brothers, wrong, but still brothers.

  • I hope this video goes viral.
