blood in the water would've been cool but I think sharks get a bum rap as it is. Maybe he already ate and just wanted to play. hope you liked it anyway
Thank you. It was loads of fun to make. I especially liked modeling the wave and figuring out how I would get that to work. I'm glad you like it. Have fun making your films.
thanks so much. It was loads of fun to make and I'm glad that people are still enjoying it. Perhaps you could spread the link around to all your friends. ha!
It's a little late, but I have an animation contest on my channel that ends in a week. You could post a new video to enter or one that you previously made if you are interested. Just post it as a video response to my film "Animation Contest" Good job!
Ya you should have way more views that was great. I am starting to animate and am getting a camera as soon as possible. Your claymation is very professional. The facial expressions were awesome. The only question I would have is what kind of lighting did you use to maintain a steady light for a full year?
thanks for the compliment. I used a 3 lights to set up a 3 point lighting system. One brighter light for the main source and two diffused (with filter or bounced off a wall) to soften up the shadow. careful you don't get three unwanted shadows though. i made about ten mouths that I could replace which saved time sculpting during a scene. The armature was a homemade ball and socket set up. Have fun! i did
i used Sculpy clay and added a oil for clay to maintain it's softness. to keep it from being jittery, I placed the tip of an art wire next to the character before I moved it. This lets me know where its last position was. The trick is remembering to remove the art wire marker before taking the next picture
it was about a year on sporadic weekends and after work. If I animated it full time (40 hr week) it would've been a month, not including storyboarding and post.
The animation on the water was brilliant personally I would have used cling film but it was very clever to use plastercine it must of bean a headache to animate brillantly done
