  • You're videos are amazing! The only thing I'd wish is that you'd say the literal meaning of every part of the phrase not just for some words. Because If I have no knowledge in this language, I want to understand !

But otherwise it really great! You're a good teacher!

  • How do u write ".... to death"? for example, "it tastes so good to death" or "i feel so lonely to death".

  • so ㅂ is not read as P

  • This is really usefull vedio!!!! it help me a lot!! dang you are one of the best teacher ever i mean it!!

  • The good thing about a language is that you never feel you learn it right because they will teach you different expressions from the ones you really wanna say and then when you find out you realize they were joking on you. Good people at least.

  • i watch alot of korean dramas so i have an idea of the language , this helps out alot. I want to speak korean fluently one day :D Thank you for these videos and have a nice day!

  • hey i have a question you can help me..what is the word you adding when you say for e.g taste so good to death or so sad to death..the wrod that sounds like "cheokene"..is there any rule how to add it..??hope you can help me..

  • My family might think that I'm going crazy when they are hearing some random "waahh jeoriga!" , " weeeaahh, Jjajeungna!" , "Whhaah!" , "WHAAH!" from my room..

  • whhaaahhh, jeoriga! I like the examples. :D Gamsahamnida for the video!

  • This is great pronunciation. Of course pronunciation differs all over Korea, but this is rather accurate. G/KumSahMayDa

  • Sillyehamida. can i ask something. I heard some korean pronounce jinjja as "REALLY?" and sometimes i heard ji jja (something like that without n) and translation to it is "seriously". So is it the same? Anyway thanks for the guide :)

  • @omgomgomg1 jin jja is the correct form. if you can't pronounce jja, try Jia really fast. you probably couldn't hear the N because it was said fast or something... it just means really? truly? seriously?.

  • WOW, i love your expressions man ;) and it is so understanding ! KUMAO! :)

  • that helped a lot THANK YOU

  • lol i feel weird talking to myselfe ......

  • You're so funny! It really helps to hear you put the natural emotion into phrases. You might've overacted a bit, but it helps us learn!

  • I like this video so much. Thanks for posting :)

  • love the emotions u put into the phrases

  • 황상저기다 오빠! 고맙습니다!

  • @xodesireed 황상저기다 >> 환상적이다^__^

  • seonsaengnim, I have a question. What's the difference between 'jeongmal' and 'jinjja' ? Can you also use 'jeongmal' for asking "REALLY?!" (as in skeptical/amazement sense); but I've always heard "jinjja" in that sense though. O_O

  • @ozshi19 When they are used in the form of 정말? or 진짜? they both mean Really? I think originally 정말? = really?, and 진짜? = genuinely? or truly?

  • I love the way you teach..Hwangsangjeogida!!!

  • @fallenangel9874 haha, Thank you for watching my videos^__^.

  • Kamsahamnida oppa!

  • oppa, kamsahamnida! you have such great expressions while speaking these sentences. sarangheyo oppa ^^

  • @conniehoang haha, 감사합니다^__^.

  • @BusyAtomdotcom oppa are you living in South Korea? I wish you lived in Australia right now hehe

  • thank you so much!

  • This helps so much :D I love listening and practicing along with your videos! Thanks so much!! :)))

  • @lainassi My pleasure^__^. Thank you for watching my videos.

  • lol ahhh jeoriga!!

  • I really like your teaching style. I like how you say, jjajeungna. It is funny and cute how you pretended to be an annoyed teenager! haha

  • 'I hope I did not overact today' LMAO. It made my day. So funny =))

  • thanks,this help me...

  • saranghamnida!!! you're awesome!!

  • lol I love how you express the emotions.

That's what I like about korean, I think it will allow o express myself fully haha

Thank you so much for this lesson

  • ha ha...you were so cute in jajeungna..haha..like a girl.

and in jeoriga..you were like the angry father in korean drama;s i watched..

    wait a minute....you sound like jimmy kim...hehe..

  • Awesome.. so would "행복해" have the same meaning?

  • @Akr1Kierre yes. it's informal though

  • awesome......n yeah u speak so childish ....haha

  • 안녕하세요? 선생님, 언제 사용해요 "제일", 언제 "가장"? 고맙습니다.

I started to learn korean language 6 - 7 months ago and I like very much. Your videos are very educational and useful for me. Thank you.

  • @190Bidam760 btw it should be 언제 "제일"하고 "가장"을 사용해요?

가장 - one out of all. similar to English word "the most." similar to English superlative. 가장 좋은 = the best. 가장 나쁜 = the worst

제일 - similar to 가장. it's similar to "the most." 제일 싫어 - I hate this the most. 제일 재미있어 - It's the funnest

it doesn't really matter which one you use, 가장 or 제일

  • Okay, you know what? I'm Korean, and I know Korean very well. I think you are an amazing teacher, but I have to point one thing out. What's up with that "korean animal sound"? I'm pretty sure people in Korea only say like that when they are pissed or freaking out about something. Honestly, it is quite embarrassing to listen with my American friends.

  • @LiziandLivi what do you mean what's up with the animal sounds??? Koreans use a lot of onomatopoeias in their conversation. There's onomatopoeias for practically everything, like a baby's waddling walk (아장아장), a growing plant/person (무럭무럭) and etc...

embarrassing?? I don't know, but whenever I hear some terms in another language it's always a bit awkward huh?? It might sound weird to you and your friends, but using onomatopoeia is the best way to be more descriptive with your Korean

  • neomu neomu neomu masitda ! *

  • i remember watching my girlfriend is a gumiho and mi ho would always say neomu neomu nemou ! hehe ;D

  • can you say 정말 행복해 and it will still mean Im so happy/Im really happy?

  • @XxNikZMuxikZxX yes.

  • you can say gibun nomu jota?

  • thanks for the tutorials. :) can we say balli jeoriga??

  • @JoJoLuVOnew he says "ppalli ga" at 6:55 so i guess "ppalli jeoriga" works too ^_^ btw, the ending was funny :))

  • in korean do they pronounce g's with a k sound? becuase i've heard alot of words that start with g sound like k..

I'm just curious. I wanna be saying it right.

    thank you

  • @ilyIkutaToma4ever yes, some do sound like k...like gamsahae/kamsahae

  • @XxNikZMuxikZxX

thank you for informing me ^^

  • haha...last week I wrote to my friend 나무 행복하다 (The tree is happy) instead of... 너무 행복하다.................

  • I will say I still don't get the romanization of Korean. It seems universally wrong. gibunjota, for example starts with a very distinctive K sound (to an English speaking ear) Therefore, why not put a K there instead of a G? If I didn't hear you say the K sound, I would have read a hard G. That happens with a lot of the romanization.

  • @kerryoke68, it's more like a really, really, soft "guh" sound.

  • @Kari166 That's what they tell me but if you listen to any kdrama or even Korean lessons you'll hear that K without a doubt. For example they will say leave and it's always the Ka sound. Maybe I need to develop my ear more. I just don't hear it. I think it's the same reason English L's sound like R's to some Asians. They don't hear it. sigh such hard work ... but it's worth it. :)

  • Excellent video. I found it really helpful.

  • omg your videos are fantastic. thank you very much....!!

  • BusyAtom, thank you very much for teaching us your korean language. Right now I'm

taking up a 12 week course and I will tell my songsaenim, ahhhh chongmal michigetda!!!Again, neomu neomu arigatou...

  • @Pangbruden Thank you! I am so happy^__^.

  • Is the "KH" supposed to be the guttural sound " /x/ " that exists in Arabic and Dutch or simply just K and H?

  • @Kra7as

I am not sure 100% but I don't think so.

But I think, sometime people do make guttural sound to emphasize. - There is a good chance that I might be wrong, so please take it as my uneducated opinion.

    Thank you.

I started to learn korean about a month or so ago, after being an avid fan of 더블애스 어공일....I learnt how to read and write korean in just one night, although obviously im not an expert, I always practice when I get the chance...I am not korean, I am filipino...it's unrealistic, i know, but I want to sing one day on stage, and one day I want my songs to be all three: Filipino, English and Korean =) keep posting vids! 감사합니다

    Everything will be fine^__^

  • annyeong sonsaengnim what is the differenceof cheongmal and chinjja plss answer me asap

  • As short forms of Cheongmal-ro, and Chinjja-ro, they have practically the same meaning - 'really'. However, 'Chinjja' has a meaning of 'genuine (thing)', so you can say 'Chinjja Prada bag' as opposed to the 'Gajja (fake, or imitation) Prada bag'.

    감사합니다.

  • this is the first vid that i have seen from this user.. hes good i like the way he teaches.. ^^

  • neomu, jinjja and jeongmal

Do these three words have the same meaning?

    kamsa hammida

  • To be strict:

    '너무' [neomu]: 'exceessively'

    '진짜' [jinjja]: genuine

    '정말' [jeongmal]: truly, really

But they are all used for the same purpose when emphasizing things.

  • hahaha i like all the expressions...i remember my supervisor the way he irritate =))

  • will you please help me how to write in korean...

and i also want you to help me know korean words....i just want to study korean language because of my korean friends in kyungpook (KNU)...please??

  • the first thing is the 너무 행복하다!

why isit pronoun as neomu haengbokhada!

I thought this word- 하 should be pronoun as ha,why u pronoun as kka??

    pls answer me...

  • Oh in my pronunciation the 'ㄱ' in '복' and 'ㅎ' in '하' interacted each other. As a result '복하' becomes '보카' SOUND-WISE. Please check one of my 'How to read Korean words' video to get some basic ideas of 'Pronunciation Rules'

    감사합니다.

  • i can say it slow.. but i think i have a heavy accent!! XO i wonder how i would sound to koreans.. i don't know any koreans so i can't test my skills :-/
