  • Jesus was Jewish and died years before christianity started. Please explain how he is the "Son of God". Im not mocking, nor critizizing. I had asked my friends and they told me that I was going to hell and how they would kill me if god told them too. I am aware that in the Bible it does state that Jesus was Jewish. I am simply in need of an explanation:)

  • @MeadowHidden Well Jesus didn't die years before Christianity started. He started Christianity when he was here on Earth. He is the Son of God in the sense that he was a human manifestation of God. Sorry if this doesn't really answer your question but I'm not really sure what you mean.

  • that music is driving me CRAZYYY!!!

  • @PookySharif I'll be praying for you.

  • Jesus wants to be a "part" of our life? Where does it say that in the Bible?

  • Haha I love the Turn or Burn!!!

  • I speak redneckism and gangstaneese....

  • What am I watching... so much bickering and division in the Church is only dividing us further. There is no need for so much ridicule or arguing about trivial matters. Holy cow...

  • 2 Timothy 2:24-25 (NKJV) “24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,”

  • It's saddening how people want to argue the Bible, without even reading and studying it themselves.

  • Reading the comments many people fail to understand that telling people straight off to "REPENT!!!" is going to lose them - convey God's LOVE first, and why how he really does want to love us. Then you can explain to that person why God wants to forgive our sins and what they need to do.

  • Also Yes people should know that we are christians but we should also not force our beliefs on them. Trust me, ive seen people come to christ by a christians lifestyle then by their constant bible thumping. If you havent already, you should check out way of the master. Its one of my favorite shows because it shows how to effectively preach the gospel in a loving yet serious way via Open Air Preaching. Also keep in mind 1 Corinthians 10:31 "WHATEVER you do, do for the glory of God"

  • Haha i love this video! People who stand on the streets with their "turn or burn" signs do NOTHING but push people away from Jesus. Im not against street preaching or open air but you gotta know how to balance the love of God and Gods wrath to the unsaved. To much of the "burn in hell sinner" preaching is bad but also to much of the "Jesus loves you" preaching is also bad. Romans 7:7 paul said that he would not have known that coveting is a sin until somebody showed him the law(10 comandments)

  • @DWPKID16 God's wrath isn't toward the unsaved, but toward the godlessness and wickedness of human beings who suppress the truth by their wickedness. In other words, those who know God yet do not glorify Him nor give thanks to Him (Romans 1:18-21)

  • as an Evangelist , this REALLY warmed my heart that the message is getting out. that, just like Jesus related to the people that He talked to over 2,000 yeras ago in simple, layman's terms. we need to follow HIS example and relate to people the same way. NEVER judging, NEVER yelling or trying to intimidate. but loving them RIGHT where they are.

  • So bad I can't watch it.

  • TURN OR BURN! haahhaaaa!!1

  • What a sick religion...

  • Can't hear them over the music.

  • When Jesus told Nicodemus that He must be born again, Nicodemus did not understand, saying,

"How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?"

Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

  • The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

Nicodemus said to Him, "How can these things be?"

Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and do not understand these things? Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know and testify of what we have seen, and you do not accept our testimony.

  • If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life."

  • I don't think how we preach it is important. In the end, it's God who saves people from sin, not us. As long as we are true to Jesus' message, show compassion to our neighbour, and don't sin as we do it, God can do any thing, even with the most terrible of preachers. Christianity is the largest religious perspective in the world, and yet ALL of our evangelists, priests, and vicars are sinful human beings. It's not really up to us.

  • I for one think it's quite clear that Jesus loves us (see the quote from John 14). Saying we are 'in relationship' with Him is a simple way for us humans to convey one aspect of the Gospel. It's true that in order to have a relationship with Him, we have to repent, and Jesus died (and was resurrected I might add) in order for people to repent. However, that doesn't mean He didn't also die so we could have a relationship with Him.

  • 18"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him." - John 14:18-21 (ESV)

  • What? Jesus died so that he can have a relationship us? hmm. I always thought (through reading the Bible) He died so that we can be saved from hell. Once he saves us, THEN we have a relationship with Him.

We need to know what we are saved from. But how we preach it is so important. The middle guy on the vid just didnt know how to say it.

You are a sinner and so am I. We have broken (an eternal) God's law which deserves eternal punishment. Get right with Him (repent), have a relationship.GB

  • @fruitbag3455 lol

christians are really really cute. You guys are always reminding us of like startrek fans who take it waaaayyyy to serious... :-)

  • LOL, you guys would problably argue with Jesus himself on how to witness to people. Jesus told them: unless you repent you to will like wise perish. Read your bible, trying to be "relevant" by pandering to ones emotions is not how Jesus ministered at all. Jesus is not knocking on the door of your heart, he is commanding all men everywhere to repent of sin and believe on Him. Read scripture in context. READ YOUR BIBLES PEOPLE....

  • she looks filipino shes probably christian

  • TURN OR BURN! hehe :D

  • lol. "jesus wants to have a relationship with you"??? terrible. he didn't atone for your sins by spilling his blood ... simply for a relationship. lol. he himself started his ministry saying "REPENT and believe." the idea for this vid is amazingly great ... but the follow-through needs a little Scripture-reading.

  • @evethezealot If you want to jazz it up into a big theatrical production. If intense scripture referencing is what it took for YOU to get the message, that is fine. That is what was necessary for you, not EVERYONE. God isn't made of paper or ideas or dogma, even though those things may point one toward God. A telephone is a great way to get a message...but don't confuse the importance of the call with the telephone itself. There are ways to communicate, and more ways to communicate.

  • @BrokeMojo I said "a little Scripture-reading." You said "intense Scripture-reading." I don't mean to sound harsh, but who's comment are you responding to? I'm not sure about the remarks of others, but MY point was that the Messiah touted 'repentance and faith,' not, 'please have a relationship with me.'

  • Jesus wants a relationship with you? That is Christianese as well. Not in the bible. Jesus said, "unless you repent you will perish." Luke 13:5

  • @sentrasersr20de unfortunately, i think i can safely say that you don't spend enough time in the bible to be telling people what it does and does not say.

i would however encourage you to actually read the whole thing in hopes that you would learn a thing or two about God's ridiculous, reckless love for you despite your evident distaste for him.

  • @sentrasersr20de "My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." John 14:2-3. In Israel, this was a reference to the custom of a groom to leave his bride-to-be to build a room for them onto his father's house. It is a marriage analogy. And what is a marriage essentially? A relationship.

  • @sentrasersr20de " He is a God who is passionate about his relationship with you" (Exodus 34:14)

"He offers his friendship to the godly" Proverbs 3:32

"Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence him." Psalm 25:14a

"Draw close to God, and God will draw close to you." James 4:8a

"Some of these people have missed the most important thing in life- they don't know God." -- 1 Timothy 6:21a

  • @sentrasersr20de (Christ speaking) "Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves Me. He who loves Me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him" (John 14:21). That is relationship. Love. He DOES want a relationship with you. & if I went around telling everyone "unless you repent you will perish" ... how many people will want to get Saved then ?

  • Love these videos

  • gay.....

  • Both were wrong

  • This video is making fun of the very way that the Lord refrenced being saved. Born again is a Bible term. I don't agree with the turn or burn method but there is nothing wrong with Born again. That is what it takes. Jesus was a friend of sinners but He did not act like them to win them.

  • Jesus wants to have a relationship with you- TOO BAD HE'S BEEN DEAD FOR 2000 YEARS. Both philosophies are bullshit. The only difference between hipster Christians and traditional Christians is that when the hipster bombs an abortion clinic, he believes god told him to do it directly rather than through the church.

  • @PookySharif Jesus isn't dead retard!!!if uve read the bible you would know this but no u haven't read it because your an ignorant atheist!!

  • @rebecav100

Actually I have read the bible. I was brought up Christian. Just because the bible says something doesn't make it true. There is no other historical record of Jesus's resurrection.

  • @PookySharif

sorry but iwhen u witness you must be nice loving and caring because we all used to be sinners. we need to show jesus love because our personality reflects on him:)

  • @grapesodaisgoodable

we should be thankful that when we sinned against god he sent his son to die for us. jesus had so much mercy on us that he would let his own father abandon him and put his wrath on him so that we might not die in hell. he calls out to everyone in love and has a plan for each of us.

  • @rebecav100 well calling someone retarded isn't going to convince them either way

  • @rebecav100 Wow, thats a real good way to show them... Call them names to show them how good your God is.. lol

  • @rebecav100sorry just to tell you that all christians are not really crazy even tho i used to think so once but they seem like it because they are going against the sinful ways of this world. reading the bible doesnt make u christian just as doing karate doesnt make you bruce li. its faith and the holy spirit that god gives us to know that he is real. i know because i have doubted too but if this wasnt real, then how could it change my or other believers lives soo much? you feel it in your heart

  • @rebecav100

seeing is believing but beliving is not always seeing. this is a test of our faith in jesus christ. if he wsnt real then we christians would still be sinning. because we cant stop sinning on our own..we need his help to change us :D

  • @PookySharif sorry about the name calling,i just get mad pretty easy when some one hasn't really gotten all the facts.the guy who bombed the clinic was insane, yes he might have been a christian but it was not God who told him to,i dont agree in abortion and niether does God,but he wouldnt make someone bomb a clinic cuz of it.the bible said you shall not murder that was pretty much murder,so it was a sin,God doesnt tell ppl to sin,get it?

  • @rebecav100 I think it's pretty funny that you accuse me of not "getting the facts," yet you claim god doesn't tell people to kill. Read the old testament. God ordered the Israelites to massacre the Canaanites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. Last I checked, that's genocide.

Of course, I'm not claiming that God actually tells people to kill. God doesn't exist. People use god as an excuse to do whatever they want in the name of morality.

  • @PookySharif They use ALLAH to do that too.

Allah told them to kill my daughter's dad. I guess he told them to treat the body w/ a total disrespect too, b/c they burned it so completely no remains were ever found.

People may think this means nothing, especially if it never happened to someone in their family, but it means something to me.

  • @vickiormindyb If you lost your husband in such a heinous way you have my deepest sympathy. You are absolutely right. The name of Allah can be just as destructive as the name of Jesus or Yaweh. When a person submits to the voices in their head, terrible things can happen.

Not that you have said otherwise, but it is important to remember that the dangers that lie in Islam lie in every other faith as well.

Once again, I am so sorry for your loss.

  • So cool nerd guy, knows words, but not what they mean...?

And cool guy reads Rick Warren, and knows a tiny Jesus who wants a relationship and just be part of your life...?

Strange... These ideas is not found any where in the Scriptures...

    But they dominate America.

  • oh lol i toht this vid was going to be about like a chinese person whos christian

  • @luck4fuck hahaha nice

  • You can be indoctrinated and psychologicly superimpose a religious framework on any thing . I wouldnt call that a relationship .

  • google Doe's Account.

  • I think all 3 of them speak christianeese...

  • HAHA... chris hamlin and david blackford! I cannot believe I just randomly fell on this whilst looking at the skit guys! :) Pastor Dave... we need to bring this stuff back!

  • Jesus loves me, but I only like him as a friend, so it's awkward.

  • the phrase "you need Jesus" said in anything other than a joking manor is wrong

  • "Jesus just wants to have a relationship with you and be a part of your life." Scripture reference for this please.

Whatever happen to the Biblical message: Repent and Believe? There is a SIN issue that needs to be mentioned and dealt with. I liked the Christianese better. At least what he says is Biblical.

  • Sadly, even "Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with you" is getting really stale, really fast. I mean, sorry, but you lost me at "Jesus wants..."

  • stupid

  • "TURN OR BURN!!" wow, that was hilarious! too bad some ppl are actually like that..

  • @jessrvas Yeah, Too bad for you that Jesus is actually like that. Have you read what Jesus said in Matthew 10:28? “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Time to open your bible and actually read it instead of quoting Christianese.phrases.

  • @jessrvas Those silly Christians following what the Bible clearly teaches. That's too bad; shame on them...

  • yeah.....Jesus used the "christianese" term born again...Nicodemus....ring a bell?

  • "What my friend's trying to say is, Jesus wants to have a real relationship with you and be a part of your life."

    "Oh, I get it."

This is hugely ironic. I think it's pretty clear that "Jesus wants to have a real relationship wth you and be a part of your life" is also Christianese. In real life, you MIGHT get a response like the one in this video, but you may also get a response of confusion.

What does "Jesus wants to have a real relationship with you" mean?

  • haha great point - or should I say 'amen' lol

  • I like it

  • where does it say in all the bible to "connect"

    BLASPHEME!!!!

it says to """PREACH""!!!!! mark 16:15

  • Lots of places. In fact, the translation of Levite, the priests of the Jewish Torah or the Christian Old Testament, is the connector, since the priest is the connection between men and God.

  • Are you speaking of Tanakh, or Torah cause the two are very different, It would be nice for you to tell me an actual vs in the bible where Jesus Himself said to use OUR own personalities to "connect" with others.

We must deny our self or die to Christ in order to follow Him. what is this "new breed" taking about? new breed of what? Christ? This concludes that Christ is

NOT timeless, if we must adjust to the contemporary which is false doctrine. Im in his age group and i can see its false

  • I just commented on what the word Levite means. You extended the argument beyond that. To make things simple for you, the word Levite is used in both the Christian Old and New Testaments.

You asked in your first comment where in the Bible is the word connect. I merely pointed it out to you.

  • From my understanding this is not what Levite means. But ill be glad to see if you can show me where its used in the bible as "connector"

We are to connect with Jesus are we not? Im a sinner why am I supposed to impose MYSELF on others. Paul said follow me as i follow Christ. The big issue is that there is a division for a reason one is contemporary. I know Christ doesnt Change, with the trends He is timeless, so the case here is more than connecting, its about who represents Christs image

  • this vid is relative how he feels what is right. But its not about him. none of what the young gentlemen said comes from any scripture. Making it relative on how he feel what is right, showing that he created his own Jesus cause he does not want to follow the real one, also called idolatry in the bible. im also in his age group and can tell this is false doctrine created by youth pastors that are youth them selves. another oxymoron in the church of Christ.

you dont have to believe me read it

  • This is where the connection part comes in. One feels they have to connect with others in order to win sinners. But the spirit can only do this. If you want to evangelize to a drug user do you dress and act like one to connect to them in order to teach them about Christ? What about a pimp or a prostitute? How do you connect with them? Or do you act like and dress like Christ regardless? Did Jesus send Matt to other tax collectors? Why?

  • "priest is the connection between men and God"

Right! But not men and men. Why?

Dont take this out of context.

  • You don't need chapter and verse to know that Jesus "connected" with people. "Connecting" with someone doesn't mean turning into them. It means being real, showing relationship, not religion.

  • you dont need a vs?

your example is very poor, the bible is our guide. So we do need a vs.

There are two different "Christ like" people in the vid. If Christ is one person why are there two huge differences here? Both are horrible examples anyways but regardless Why are there two different ends of the spectrum, this automatically imposes that Christ changes or that one of the two is wrong, in being an example of Christ.

    Which one is it?

I hope you know both are not even close to Christ

  • "in order to influence the world WE have to connect"

    are you hearing this?

where in the entire bible does it say this?

the spirit is the one that draws.

"in order to influence"? another word for this is manipulate, pressure, control, sway, or power.

this thing gets more ludicrous the more i watch it.

PEOPLE PLEASE READ YOUR BIBLE THIS IS NOT IN IT.

ITS WRONG AND FALSE DOCTRINE TAUGHT BY PEOPLE THAT DONT REALY FOLLOW CHRIST OR EVEN READ THE BIBLE.

  • Actually, it IS in the Bible.

    1 Corinthians 9:19-23

And I think you missed the whole point of this video.

The point is that we can be a Christian, doing what the Church teaches, but still not be following God, or doing what Jesus did - hang out with Prostitutes, Tax Collectors, and Sinners.

Not because He approved of their lifestyle, but because "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick." (Matthew 9:9-12)

  • Yes, but he was talking about fulfilling a need before he preached to them. Like, if they were hungry, he would feed them. If

they spoke a different language, he'd learn the language to talk to them. Dont take Gods word out of context I preach this for many years, its false get over it

He was not saying that if they lived like devils he became a devil. That scripture is talking about bearing fruit! It's saying that if you bear fruit, you are a good tree and your fruit will win others.

  • and become a new creature.

It's not saying that you hide your agenda so that people think you are of the World, but then, you try to preach the Gospel to them on the sly! Jesus never promoted himself, but he went among the sinners and publicans to preach. He did not promote himself to get them to come, but he went to them! He did not use sinful people to draw people to where he was, he just preached the Gospel and God did the drawing.Truth was his draw!

  • And if you win others, you are wise. It's not saying that you have to think of ways or conjure up schemes to reach the lost! It's not saying that you trick people into coming to a function by promoting sinful people and then spring the Gospel on them

    segested reading:

    Prov. 11:30, Matt. 9:10, John 15:19, 1Cor. 9:22, 2Cor. 4:5, 1John 2:15

  • I dunno. Looks like you just did a 180 there.

  • NO! i put the vs in the proper context.

read it again. Jesus never became a sinner, to win sinners.

  • do you get it?

  • I have no idea what you're talking about.

To me it looks like you're the guy on the left.

  • Realy? so do you take Gods word lightly?

I put it plainly. the vs in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 which you qouted. is out of context. He's talking about fulfilling a need before he preached to them. Like, if they were hungry, he would feed them.

    Jesus talked to sinners

did Jesus become a sinner to talk to sinners?

did you even read the quote you gave me before posting it?

  • do you know that your avitar is demonic?

  • No, I thought it represented the Thundercats, one of my fave childhood shows.

To me it was one of the examples where good people help each other and others in the fight against evil.

Yes, I did read 1 Corinthians 9:19-23. I have trouble understanding you. And what I think I do understand, I disagree with.

I especially have trouble listening to you when it seems that you're attacking me with every post.

  • im sorry, im trying to inform you, it might seem like an attack, thats how the Pharisees took it when they hung Jesus. Change you perspective and mybe youll get 1Cor as well.

Do some research on "the third eye" demons, skeletons, witchcraft, and other demons in the bible you will soon see that the TC fall under these same conditions. My best friend just got over these demons, threw out the complete collection of TC, and all kinds of 80s cartoons that are demonic.

    dont take this lightly

  • Why? so you can suck it?

  • Saying "Jesus wants to have a real relationship with you and be a part of your life" is NOT the gospel. For anyone who thinks it is, I recommend watching Paul Washer's "shocking message". It will definitely change your life. It changed mine.

  • *LOL* @ TURN OR BURN!!!

  • Hahahhaa brilliant

  • mmhmm

  • cool

  • christians trying to be cool by changing their label to "Christ-follower".. do they really follow the Jewish Messiah of Israel? The Jewish Messiah of Israel described in the Bible taught the Torah (law of Moses), kept the 7th day Sabbath (Saturday), and he didnt eat pork. You christians are phonies... you follow ROMAN Catholic religion.

  • See Acts 15:1 (Jesus' apostles rejected Judaizers. Beware of false teaching.)

"Some men came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the brothers: "Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved."

  • Dumb Judaizers. They taught cutting your flesh could get you into heaven.. they twisted God's commandments into their own legalistic religion. So Peter and Paul then tell the gentiles to FOLLOW scripture in Acts 15:20-21. They give the gentiles kosher commandments from the Torah (Leviticus 11) and conclude by pointing out these new gentiles are learning the law of Moses every Sabbath they attend the synagogues! (v21). We need to do the same - obey God alone, not man-made teachings.

  • that was so funny!now every time i see my youth group we always say Turn or Burn!another funny mac vs pc spoof is the skit guys.

  • i think it's awesome and a great way to prove a point!

  • Makes no cense

  • Loved it!

  • very poorly made needs more lighting otherwise good script

  • Every church has their way to reach the people around them. Some may be more efficient and some of them may draw less people. However, if both of the message is the same (talking about accepting Jesus Christ as their personal savior and Jesus is the God's only begotten son and trinity.) We shouldn't judge others by ourselves here as Bible said. God is the only judge, not us.

  • "We shouldn't judge others by ourselves here as Bible said"

That's not what the bible says. It is talking about HYPOCRITICAL judgment. We are commanded to judge others for their sin as long as we are not sinning with the same thing ourselves.

  • I never read in the bible that allows us to Judge others - period. We are to Hate the SIN, but Love the SINNER. (Remember when Jesus told the people who were persecuting Mary M. "Those w/o Sin can cast the first stone" - ring a bell anyone?

  • "I never read in the bible that allows us to Judge others"

I'll help you out with a few verses:

    John 7:24

    1 Cor 2:15

Matthew 7:1-5 read the WHOLE passage, not just verse 1. It's talking about hypocritical judgement

Matthew 7:16 - You obviously have to evaluate if someone is genuine by the fruits in their lives

James 5:19 - we are to intervene if we observe that a person is erring in their way

Matt 18:15-17 - we are to cast sinners out of church if they don't repent

  • this is really good!

  • This whole thing is christianese. The guy on the right looks like as much a typical churchy as the one on the left -- "trying to be all cool about the Lord y'all, know what Im sayin' we listen to Creed and DC talk haleluja" -- the church still doesnt get it.

  • Ahh man i loved it! I've watched alot of the christian spoofs of the mac vs pc ads. But this made me laugh out loud. Nice work :)

  • nice job you guys
