If you dident want to repaint it and use bondo for taking off the mount system, couldn't you just thread the screws back in until they are flush with the gun? It wouldn't look nearly as good as yours, but its a 3min job thats free that would make it look better that stock.

the copper tube wouldnt work. if u look at the outer barrel wen u take it off there is a ring on the bottom of it. that ring goes behind the knob that screws on and off. and a copper tube isnt gonna have that ring.

when u use warhammer paints use hardcoat varnish over it. because that paint will not last in a game if u scrach it or in the rain

oh yeah on the filler you have to use 80 grit to get it down & use finisher with 2000 grit.

For the custom barrel length, would this work on any other cheap shogun models (around 20$)? Also, when you took off the outer barrel, there was a ring or something on the end that connected the barrel to the lower barrel cap. would not that peice on your custom barrel have any effect on the stability of the outerbarrel? if so, could you get another one of those from somewhere along with your own custom lengthed barrel, if so where?

also i would scrape off the paint around the hopup and go with a mettalic sharpie i used a metalic sharpie on the ejection port on my m4 as it was black and it is usually silver i was very pleased with the results not flaming but the silver paint looks a little sketchy on the vid i would use the sharpie but when you do only draw in one direction otherwise it looks crappy

Really a great tutorial! But I see a couple flaws. 1.) Extending the barrel could work, but what about the small tube for the BB's inside? You would also need a way to extend that. and 2.) Wouldn't the copper pipe be too heavy for the shotgun and possibly crack it? I don't know, but those showed up as problems to me. And one question: I went to Wal-Mart and bought a cheepy M4 carbine and recently the retractable stock broke off, would Gorilla glue be able to glue it back on?

Yeah, like we said in the video the barrel extension is mostly for a wallhanger situation, not for actual use. And gorilla glue is pretty amazing stuff, but the crappy plastic the M4 is made of probably won't hold anyways.

one more thing you can do..... take the speed load tube and find a spring that is a little longer than it and put it inside... then put on some kind of an end cap and fit the other side with a tube a bit bigger then the bbs.... then just put it in the mag tube.... then you dont need the magazines (a bit hard to load though)

If you want something that not everyone has, remove the stock completely. Mount the reciever to an airsoft m4 or ar 15 if you have one, with the back of the reciever up against the mag well. The ar's mag will act like the grip of the shotgun. You would have to do some fabrication to make it work, but it would be cool, and accurate, as Remington has 870's in that configuration to interchange with the m203.

Your best bet would be to insert a metal washer of correct size into the piping itself. It is worth mentioning that using a copper pipe as an outer barrel would be better suited for making a wallhanger than a skirmishing gun.
