Yes, this trailer is misleading. This is a comedy. However, it's really good and totally unique, but it's nothing like this trailer portrays.

The movie was awesome but the trailer sucked. Except for the last bit it makes the movie look serious and it is really hilarious. It gives you the wrong idea about the movie. Like they're being watched and they had nothing to do with the world disappearing. And they probably got the wrong audience for the movie at first. This is a dark comedy not a thriller.

The trailer really misunderstands entire movie. It sells the movie like it was a terrific thriller, but it is not! The movie is a completely funny modern satire of the world we're living. That's it.

Yeah, it seems it delivers it as more of a horror/thriller when in itself it's more of a comedy with some dark elements at times. I think an effective trailer would have simply been the part where he opens the door and notices that everything has vanished.
