The point Im making is that there is a persistant culture of Catholic villification in this country which is entrenched and normalised in cultural and academic circles. I really do respect the view of others but have a major problem with insitutionalised descrimination targeting an entire community because of their spiritual path

When people then defend their incorrect ideas - at the expense of others understanding how the universe actually works, then it is dangerous and immoral and I will fight against it. I listened to the debate between George Pell and Dan Barker that was recently held in Sidney, Australia. The topic was called "We Are Nothing Without God." I was thinking that without God, Cardinal Pell would be nothing. He wouldn't have his honoraria, his Cardinalship and all those robes and a tax-free status. To me, he is nothing but an old, ignorant man.
It emerged this week Pell had dismissed a sex abuse complaint against a priest in 2003 because he gave weight to the priest's claim the encounter was consensual, despite the victim's protestations to the contrary.
Cardinal Pell is nothing more than a fucking lousy child molester and a liar...he covers up to protect his priests and should be de-robed and put before the courts...Kevin Rudd is no better for supporting this calculating pedophile.
