I suppose websters is adequite for this talk. However I usually use the stanford encyclopedia of philosophy for questions like this. There are many understanings of what the word truth means in a philisophical sense. Is it a property of propositions? If it is that which is faithful to an original, then what is the original? I have heard it said that truth is that which is faithful to reality. In which case I must ask what is reality? Still, my favorite definition is found in john 14:6
