I would love to see JCVD back in his previous shape. However, as one can learn watching one of the epizodes of "JCVD - behind closed doors" - he should no longer perform one of his hallmark techniques - wide roundhouse kick, due to accumulated injuries in his hip joints. Looks like the body cannot handle extreme usage for prolonged time - some day something has to give. Nonetheless I wish him all the best, i.a regaining joy of life, as he looks nowdays like a really sad and stressed guy.

Secondly, like myself I wear sunglasses because my eye lets too much light in at once and can give a person a migraine that you can't stop. So it's for mood control and it calms the mind down. Van Damme has also suffer extreme and serious depression too, and I understand that. It also keeps you in your own mindset as though you have some privacy in your own head. Various reasons.
