Apachii Sky hair is much better. Coolsims has an issue with Dunmer females, They tend to have these ugly bumps coming up from the back of the head. Apachii really doesn't have this problem. Much preferred in my opinion.

i hate re-texture and model swap mods... graphical mods in general. they don't add anything to the experience. people should focus more on new (well made, please) quests and places instead.

@SpecialForcie nope. you're fundamentally wrong. graphics do not provide immersion. Character construction, story telling, gameplay mechanics and the world "lore" do. For instance, books don't even need any pictures to completely hook you on their content.

Besides, graphics can only hinder the experience so much. its one thing to say graphics mod make morrowind way better, but its another story when you talk about skyrim. How do vanilla skyrim visuals actually hinder you experience?

not to mention most graphical mods are overblown bullshit (bloom, any kind of blur, "god rays" and such crap), unnecessary detail that can only be spotted if you stare at them from 50cm away (do i really need 2048x2048 leaf textures? i never even noticed the vanilla ones were low res before i saw this mod.), or stuff that's so out of place that it DESTROYS the immersion (like all the "better hair, better bodies" final fantasy-like shit.)

@SpecialForcie that was never my intention. i personally don't care much about graphics as the baseline graphics for skyrim are pretty good. I actually don't mind playing it on the lowest setting possible on my laptop when i'm out of town for long, so when i come back to my desktop with everything maxed its already prettier than i need.

Anyways, no matter what anyone's opinions are, there's a ton of gfx mods, and unfortunately barely any that brings new quests and places. that's the problem :\

I can play Skyrim on my 6 year old Single core £300 PC with a budget video card, with highest textures, highest view settings and pretty much the rest on low and with the new patch it runs okay for me. Obviously i never get high FPS it depends where i am in the game but can very from 4-18 FPS with 18 being okay for me as i haven't played a game like Skyrim with High FPS.
