Why is what Gary says so important?He seems to me like an angry child having a never ending temper tantrum.Of late I am trying to be not so out spoken about people I do not like or agree with.I do not like or agree with Gary.
@richardmann184 It is not that he is so important, it is his radical ideas that I like many feel we must challenge, so that the "end game" he would like to see come about, never happens. If radical ideas are not challenged, it is easy for them to take root and flourish on a mass scale. One thing good about all of this is that Gary's radical view on life challenges each and everyone of us to think more in depth about that which many of us struggle with and take for granted at the same time.
"Why should there be so much suffering?" How would empathy and compassion evolve if there were no suffering in the world? What kind of creatures would we be if no one ever suffered? Imagine a person that never experience even the slightest discomfort in childhood or the rest of life. How would that person be able to empathize with the ailments of others?
