dang all the good commercials came out before I was born! D: well I think they might have still been airing these after 1995 cause I remember some of the Simpson butter finger commercials! XD lol lik the butter finger BB's commercials! :D
@072972ification, relax. stig422 was making reference to a Simpson's episode where Homer and Bart were TV shopping and Homer said..."I know a genuine Panaphonics when I see it. And look, there's Magnetbox and Sorny."
@Crommy5 Hey, I Do gotta ask..Didn't Simpsons come out On tv in 1989 sometime? Unless before that they were doing commercials for Nestle's Butterfinger?
@jakesaintsrow123, The Simpsons actually got their start on The Tracey Ullman Show in 1987, as short one minute bumpers going in and out of commercials, and lasted on her show until May 1989. The Simpsons series debuted on Fox in Dec 1989. Dan Castellaneta and Julie Kavner landed the jobs of voicing Homer and Marge Simpson because they were cast members of Ullman's show.
@Marbles471, you are right. According to Wikipedia's entry for Milhouse Van Houten, he was created specifically for the Butterfinger commercial. His first appearance was in the first full episode broadcast, "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" on December 17, 1989. Wow, time is flying by.
I remember this aired during the simpsons episode "The Grapes Of Wrath" way back in the spring of 1990! Who would've thought the simpsons would still be airing on tv to this day! BTW,The Simpsons will be making its 23rd season this coming fall 2011.
Here because I wanted to see how Milhouse came about:-) (OMG-Facts).

It's neato? They came out with newer Butterfinger commercials with Bart. He'd say, "nobody better lay a finger on my Butterfingers."

Wow, if this is 1988, this means Milhouse's first appearance was actually in a commercial. He wasn't in any of the Ullman shorts, was he?
