great fan of this song but im glad he scrapped this version , the true version is so much more simple sad and breathtaking at the same time , this is a bit of a mess

@rrrorkk This has been a favorite Rory tune of mine since I first heard it many years ago...and like you, I prefer the original work, this is like someone else was working the board and the mix got messed up. It is still Rory, and its ok, but the original gives me chills, this doesnt.

That double tracked voice totally sux. The drummer is an overwrought mess & the whole thing is just one big noisy muddle. I'm glad this got uploaded because it makes me appreciate the Photo-Finish version that much more.

The other tracks of this sessions are Rue The Day & Public Enemy n°1 and you can find them on the Calling Card reissue of 1999.

Is this from the album he scrapped in America? I don't know how he thought this wasn't up to standard. Cracking version. Have you any more from that session? And Thanks for uploading!
