This may be the best B-52's song ever. All it has in common with Yoko's song is that it uses the words "Don't Worry" in it. But since she sued, it's gone. I'm glad I still have my original vinyl.
I can only add my dismay to the others that this song was a favorite of mine and got me to listen to Mrs. Lennon's Fly record - which I LOVE, it's awesome - but I will never understand why she made them take this off track listing for WHAMMY!? It's barely, or not even at all a cover version...
I drove my mom nuts playing this song!! I have the original vinyl too. Better watch out for Yoko Ono. If she finds out you posted this video, that crazy bitch will cut you!!
I just downloaded this album (Whammy) off of Amazon to load on iTunes....I burnt it onto a disc to play in my car.....and was listening to the tracks.....I didn't remember Moon 83....so, I go to my vinyl original of Whammy, that I bought the week it was released in 1983, and see the song "Don't Worry" on the Vinyl and the back album cover.....I'm like "WTF?".....so I Wikipedia it....which is how I ended up here....* there are benefits of being 51 years old :)
LOOOOOOOOOVE this one. I have missed it so much. I owned the original cassette. I was so disappointed when I later bought the CD and it wasn't on there anymore. Maybe if I buy a B52 song and a a Yoko song on itunes, that will assuage my guilt if I download this one from here. I love your video too, showing the album. Thanks!
@727JeffN Actually they did credit her but they were honoring her, the song is not really Yoko's and only has the same name, They only used the title, it is a completely different song. That Bit$@ Yoko sued them for money and residuals, the b's balked, thus the song was taken off the album after the first copies were printed. They had Moon 83 already done so they threw that on the album in place of this song.
@727JeffN Yea, this is where they got themselves in a little trouble. They credited her as an honor, a bit of a joke, since there are no other words to the song other than the title. You will also notice that the boarder around the cover picture on the album was changed. Not sure why this was done but the original has a bit of a jagged edge which was later removed. Its sad that i know these things lol
I'd forgotten about Yoko's 'version' of this song. This is classic B-52's wacky brilliance!
I had no idea that is is removed from current copies of the CD. That is shameful.
Glad I have the original LP.

It's weird that Yoko Ono wanted this pulled, because when John Lennon heard "Rock Lobster" for the first time, he said Yoko could sing like that.

You'd think, with all the ill-will she's already generated, Ono'd like the free publicity of a band like the B's covering her work. But noooo.....

Did the B-52's credit Yoko on the LP? This is a great upload. Never knew they recorded this track.

@theLaNDoftheLOOPS Yes, on the label. Lyrics by Yoko Ono, published by Ono Music.
