T26 Garand was in development stages at the end of WWII. All Tanker Garands are commercially assembled. Muzzle blast was said to be great with .30-06., 7.62mm/.308 not so bad. Mine purchased for $550 in 95' no a days $800-$1000
It will feed better if you oil the eblock mag well real good. Mine is in 308 /7.62 nato, I love mine. Mine has trouble feeding if it is dry. Oil the crap out of it!
@gileswilsonjones ya i took this video after a long day of shooting so it was pretty dirty. some feed issues are to be expected on a gun that has shot 400-500 rounds with no oil
With the shorter barrel, how is the kick compared with a full length Garand?
That Tanker would have been a nice platform for a company to come out with one in a smaller caliber. Maybe a 5.56mm. Maybe could have help 12 rounds in a clip. Perhaps a stronger round,similar to the .276 Pederson, which the original M1 could hold 10 rounds.
are u saying have the entire charging mechanism on the left side instead of the right.......the only way could see that bein possible is if somone made a new receiver ass backwards...thats the only way a garand couldnt be converted to have left side charging
haha ya true...my brother is left handed and he has problems with the rifle chuckin brass into his face other than that its a great rifle for both left and right
I found a Tanker m1 for $700, is it a good deal?

@000YellowFang000 that's a good deal I would buy it.....it all really depends on quality of it
INF116 2 months ago
@INF116 I think I will, as its in pretty good condition. I haven't checked the bore yet though.

Even though it was dirty, it made the video interesting. Imagine doing that in the heat of battle.
You did pretty good I must say, smooth and fast.

how much do these go for, and did they see extensive action in ww2?
WildGaston 7 months ago
@WildGaston
They saw no action in WWII. The name Tanker Garand was coined in the 1950s to market these civilian creations

@MrPotatoesLatkie Ruger Mini 14
moicus29 9 months ago
@moicus29 The mini14 is based on the Garand, but I'm talking about a real Tanker, one that looks like a Tanker, not something based on it.

@MrPotatoesLatkie the recoil in my opinion is the same or at least not enough for me to tell a major difference
