Duh the constitution is not perfect, that is why the framers made provisions for amendments, and would no doubt look favorably on any good attempt to improve it. They didn't want mindless robots as American people. Anybody who doesn't understand that either doesn't understand the constitution, or doesn't understand it. Simple.
I can't believe some of the comments... No rights are "granted" by the constitution, nor the bill of rights.. these rights are inherent and GOD GIVEN.. They are unalienable and these documents ACKNOWLEDGE AND REAFFIRM those rights.. NOT GRANT THEM.
@kirokyukan Your right. There shouldn't be any amendments, it should be restored I agree. Every amendment written after the constitution was created was done so in a deceitful way. Bring it back to the first 10. Perhaps it's not the constitution that is flawed, but man and all his work.
@kirokyukan The original was not flawed, just man's definition of another man, and what rights are granted to him. Nice try though, racism and slavery are the last argument for people who hate the constitution.
@TheRyesick1 In America mans definition of what a man was and what right he deserves was defined by your constitution. Even if you brought it back to the first ten ammendments, you would still be admitting the original constitution flawed.
@kirokyukan Look who is splitting hairs. Hahaha I want you to follow this, and this is key, "All men are created equal." Now only by definition of not being a man, would this not apply to you, as in member of the race of man like Hu-man. Some people, even though it is ignored not all, owned slaves, and by definition of Man and his laws these people weren't considered by the constitution, only by definition. Now that we consider non white men to be people and apart of man, they are covered.
@TheRyesick1 Seriously man Im not even American, and I really dont give a shit. I still stand by my point that any Ammendment is undeniable proof that the constitution is flawed. Peace out!
@kirokyukan you, sir, are ABSOLUTELY correct. that's why the constitution has provisions for amendments, because the founding fathers KNEW that the constitution, like anything by man, is 'flawed'.
but folks would rather sit back and play 'biggest patriot', without even understanding the constitution or history. that kind makes me laugh.
I'd still like to think politicians are obligated to do many things, but they haven't shown this to be of much importance in recent years. Have they? I can only hope that yesterday was a wakeup call for our government and not just another ignorable moment destined to fade into history.
Our Constitution has worked just fine for over 200 years. The "fundamental flaw" is that we have leaders who have no honor for their oaths of office, and they need to be removed and charged with TREASON! And th sooner, the better!
@1WRAM correct plus we need people with balls to say what you said and not be put in prison for saying what you just said. Obama is a cursed name just like Voldemort was and he was finally defeated.
I feel people are catching on and for good reason, because now I realize the proper words to use now are not WAKE UP tho maybe GET READY- here it comes and get a really good bible for instruction because it may be days or years but like some of the music is singing - It's Going Down!!
Wtf about the flaw that he f-ing gave money to GoldmanSach????and all his big corporation buddies? No money was spent on the "toxic mortgages" which brought down our economy. So I guess that Obama's corporate buddies are more important than our economy? What about the flaw that Obama allowed American people to go homeless?
What about the flaw that unemployment went to the moon? What about the flaw that our deficit is un-freaking-comprehensible? And this guy is attacking our constitution?
@dayadayadaya123 How about us in California... Browns running ads about how Meg Whitman made insider traded money while sitting on the board Goldman Sachs. NOW WHAT? We have literally been given two evils to choose from here. California will be a third world state, and as Cali goes, so goes the nation.
This is what happens when you let the enemy takes control of our nation. This guy is a joke man. Our constitution has flaw? This guy sworn in oath to uphold the U.S. constitution is saying that our constitution has flaw? If there is a booth to come in to vote and boot this guy out of office, I'm the first to put my hands up.
@Camel76 Very well said. He took an oath to defend a flawed Constitution? It has been a year and a half now, I have seen most of my neighbors lose their jobs, their homes and so on. Now they and I have been cut off of unemployment. 200,000 people a week are losing benefits. I don't want a government handout, I want my job back so I can take care of my family. The enemy of our country is within. Impeach indeed.
@Camel76 NO, he intentional mistated the oath on the bible and then retook the oath behind closed doors without a bible. I think in his mind he isn't obligated to uphold the oath of office. It's a lot like not getting the mail-in votes to the military... oh well it's just 1.2 million votes but its all fair and legal.
John Roberts, the Chief Justice charged who helped bungle the oath on Tuesday, was summoned to the White House and, in front of a small pool of reporters, Mr Obama carefully and accurately repeated the 35-word oath prescribed by Article 2 of the Constitution.
The problem was, no-one thought to bring a Bible and Mr Obama decided to go ahead without one.
Oh that flaw...it didn't have as the 1st Amendment the right of Corporations hire government officials to do their bidding over the rights of the American people. Yeah, that flaw!
We cannot get this scumbag out of office quickly enough.

The constitution is fine, it's the socialist politics of the last 100 years that are stifling it, that is the problem. LONG LIVE THE CONSTITUTION!!!

If the contstituion has no flaws then why do they have ammendments? Every Ammendment enacted proves the Constitution is flawed.

@TheRyesick1 uhhh, 'all men are created equal' was not in the constitution, it was in the 'declaration of independence'.
no 'amendments' to the final declaration of independence.

I didn't see the part where Obummer explains exactly what those flaws are.
It seems that he must be referring to the part where it says that the people are in control of government instead of the other way around.
