  • @abrcrmbynfthch man , this is so true! True Beatles fans can have favorite songs, but more than that, they have favorite álbuns! By the way, mine are Abbey Road , Sgt, Peppers and Beatles For Sale ( yup, I couldn't choose just one) =)

    Sorry for the bad English

  • @Totegalo It's impossible to chose only one favorite album or song from them ! Mine are the Rubber Soul, Hard Day's Night, and the White. And maybe Sgt Peppers too.

  • besame mucho (lennon mccartney)?

  • This song is so awesome! It's extremely catchy and I love the part when John says "I send you flowers but you don't care, you never seem to see me standing there".

  • Same melody as 'from me to you'?

  • @barraka00 no.

  • @RcEdits Very similar then.

  • I know it is The Beatles singing but it doesn't sound like them.

  • This is NOT the Beatles. OR the "Silver Beatles".

  • @katex1234 Actually, it is. It's part of the famous 15 song audition session rejected by Decca records. It's these demo recordings that impressed George Martin enough to offer them a "test" recording session for EMI. The rest is history. Cheers ps. this is one of only three of the 15 tunes that were Lennon/McCartney songs, though they never recorded it for an official album

  • @katex1234 Erm, it is the Silver Beatles lol

  • @katex1234 Yeah, it is.It's on the Anthology 1

  • crap drumming, sack the drummer,oh forgot they did, har har

  • Fonzie would be proud...... x3

  • the first song mr. lennon wrote

  • Did Pete Best play on this?

  • First of all just let me say that i love this stuff.. The humble beginnings of the biggest group ever. the Beatles.. I love the raw sound rather that the polished one. and here in Silver Beatles. it is just that. To see that the Beatles started from the bottom and worked their way up to the top. It just humanizes them for me rather than the usual larger that life image they had. Iconic../ THe boys all dressed in leather is so sexy. John looks too sexy in those leather pants. the rebel boy luv U.

  • A correctly placed set of quotes completely makes this song about lesbians...

I hope there'll come a day when you say you're my little girl.

    V.S

I hope there'll come a day when you say, "You're my little girl"

  • At 1:41 there comes Ringo...

  • Sudades eternamenti!

  • awesome

  • this is the first official song of Beatles composed by John Lennon when he was 18. 5 years later it became U.ks top 10. back then it was a stage-song

  • My boyfriend sang me this song <3

  • All they aspired to be was a good skiffle rockabilly band , instead they

ended up changing the world...go freaken figure...

  • this is not cover, this is lennon's song

  • the picture at :55 is during the please please me aria (in which they were not entitled the silver Beatles)

  • Ich bin stolz darauf dass die Beatles haben in mein land kommen

  • Fonzie would be so proud of those leather jackets!

  • ever since the beggining they have always been and still will be one of the best!=]

  • cant believe this is lennon's first song i love it!!!!! :)

  • @meatloaf928 It's pretty good, huh?

  • This song fills me with hope.

  • This is from The Beatles' January 1, 1962 Decca demo. They were long past being The Silver Beatles.

  • there are 2 silver beatles (pete and paul) and 3 beatles (pete paul and ringo)

  • @1GoodRiddance lol dont you mean they replaced Best with Ringo?

  • @luigifan87 Yes

  • love this

  • Abusing the replay button.

  • for my highest rated comment;

    i was talking about Pete

  • Why on earth wasn't this on Anthology? Or was it?

  • Theres 2 remaining Silver Beatles, and theres 2 remaining Beatles ...

  • Thats Because Pete Best, Paul mcartney, And Richard Starsky Are Still Alive. Hey Wait Who Else Was In The Silver beatles

  • @Zcecchine54

Yeah thats what im saying, theres 2 remaining SILVER BEATLES, Paul McCartney and Pete Best.

And theres 2 remaining BEATLES, Paul and Ringo.

  • @Zcecchine54 Obviously John Lennon. Of course, you didn't mean to forget him, did you? And Richard Starkey isn't in the Silver Beatles because they have Pete Best. Pete isn't alive because he died from a brain aneurism I believe which is why The Beatles needed Ringo.

  • @iluvafalloutboy Lol...Stu died...Pete's alive, still.

  • @iluvafalloutboy No, they replaced Ringo with Best because Ringo was a better drummer. He was more successful and famous than them at the time. Best is still alive.

  • @1GoodRiddance According to John, "Pete was a good drummer, but Ringo was a good Beatle." If you read Allan Williams book "The man who gave the Beatles Away" Tommy Moore was an excellent drummer for the Beatles but his wife forced him to choose between the group or getting a regular job to support her and the kids.

  • @1GoodRiddance Ringo was not more famous than the Beatles in 1962, both The Beatles and Rory & The Hurricanes (the group Ringo played drums for) were not nationally known bands, and it was The Beatles who topped the fan voted merseybeat poll that year. Best's popularity back then is confirmed as when it was announced the Beatles signed to EMI it was a photo of Best alone that graced the front cover of Merseybeat.

  • @iluvafalloutboy Pete Best wasn't a good enough drummer. thats why he was replaced. Stu died....

  • Silver "Beetles" actually!!!! "ee"

  • Wow RIngo looks really went downhill.

  • @DarthHater100 That's Pete Best on the first pics, not Ringo.

  • @beatler90 That's because it's 'The Silver Beatles'.

  • It's so great, I love it since I've seen the movie Nowhere Boy.

  • The long time rumor about this song is that this is written about John's longtime girlfriend and then mistress Patricia Inder who dated John from the time this song was written right up Julian was born. Nowhere Boy kind of implies that this song was about John's mother but in reality it wasn't

  • what's silver Beatles?

  • @GeorgeHarrisonLuver1 early beatles

  • @GeorgeHarrisonLuver1 if you were a real george harrison lover you'd know

  • @GeorgeHarrisonLuver1 That's what they called themselves after they were the Quarrymen, and before they dropped the "Silver" from their name. I saw them in Hamburg, Germany in 1962 when I was in the U.S.Navy, then again in 1963 in Liverpool. Oh...and...my last name is McCartney. M.P. And...I'm left handed. But, I play the guitar right handed. Anyway, hope this kinda clears the name thing up for you some. Take it easy. :D)

  • Did he ever know when he was writing his first ever song that he would one day become one of the greatest musicians of all time

  • I don't know what's in this song that makes me love it soo much like more then anything in the worlllld <3

    AHHHHH I LOVE JOHN'S VOICE <3

  • Can't help feeling sorry for Pete.....although Ringo's skills were sooooo much better.

  • Wow this is the first time Iv heard this song and its gr8 just a shame it's not with Ringo I love him much more than Pete sorry Pete!

  • hey coming at ya with original songs every one on my channel i have writen myself respectthelogic,,,,,,,lennon i solute you,,,,,,paul i solute you,,,,,,,,gorge i solute you and ringo i solute you,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,wow never new this to be first lennon tune cheers ya learn something new every day,,,,,,,,,,,,,,respectthelogic,,,,,,,,,,

  • this is really goood

  • @purebosanac crazy man, your crazy man

  • for anyone who doesn't like this song, can you write a song as a teenager with no background in music or knowledge really and have it still around and famous 50 years later?-didnt think so

  • @QueenBeatlesWings Too true, where are all these u-tube experts, where are their orginal songs?

  • i love this but pauls lost my little girl is ImO better, but i love them both.

  • @OropherThranduil In my opinion Paul was better melodically but John songgs had more feeling, and this one comparing with My little girl is a great example, i will take this one.

  • @WiltatKansas

i lost my little girl has more feelings ImO.

well, john was more open with his feelings, that's true.

with paul you have to dig a little deeper most of the time.

  • written in 1957, Hello Little Girl was the first original composition by John Lennon. The Beatles recorded a version of it during their unsuccessful audition for Decca Records on 1 January 1962. Also, a bootleg, was recorded in early 1960 with Lennon, McCartney and Harrison on guitar, and Stuart Sutcliffe on bass. While the sound quality is inevitably inferior to the Decca version, and certain lines were only half-written

  • where is ringo !!!!?

  • @dreadjonh it was pete best before ringo, remember?

  • @seafortha pete best then ringo? is that what you think?

  • @dreadjonh no, thats what i know!!

  • @seafortha is that what you know!!!!!!!!!!? haha ok

  • @dreadjonh why do u know something different? cos i'm talking facts here.

  • @seafortha no differents facts man u won only this time enjoy ur victory hahaha peace

  • @dreadjonh lol, yeah, watch the film backbeat about the beatles early days, mostly about stuart sutcliffe but pete best is in it aswell.. pete best went into manic depression when he was sacked, but you can't really blame the bloke, could of toured the world and been in the most successful band of all time, but ended up staying in liverpool as a librarian, God, just imagine how shit he must of felt!

  • @seafortha fuck that just imagine librarian fuck the bored work in world

  • @seafortha

i think att he latest they would have sacked best in late 64, 65,

when they're music became more complex in rhythms and timings and chord changes, that's the reason why the byrds drummer quit in 66 when the byrds went psychedelic, that's what would have happened to best.

  • @seafortha Best pulled himself back though, made sum decent yet underrated music, got financial rewarded for his early work in the Beatles. And from what I have heard he is now a very nice and contented man, without any bitterness or what you would have expected.

  • The drumming sounds OK to me.

  • the second voices are amazing!!

  • 6 people hate nowhere boy and john lennon and the beatles.

  • @NarutoEX100 Hating Nowhere Boy wouldn't necessarily be misplaced. While it was a nice movie, it was filled with inaccuracies. It's good watch for what it's worth...but hating the Beatles and John Lennon himself? The sentence is death...right after Chapman, lol. ;)

  • they did this wonderfully in Nowhere Boy. ahh, i love john lennon and aaron johnson! yum(:

  • This version is amazing! :)

  • love this song with this song i got my baby back

  • Love this. They covered this song so well in the excellent movie "Nowhere Boy"

  • @westfield90 just watched that movie.. haha loved it

  • @westfield90 um this is from the 60s or what do you mean

  • @nascar08freak oh nevm

  • aww, soo cute, they say "ello little girl" instead of "hello little girl" LOL :)

  • @BabyFace1946 It's liverpoolian :)

  • @ScaryBridge Liverpudlian or Scouse

  • @ScaryBridge it's defo liverpudlian. cos i'm from liverpool..

  • This is the one of the best John Lennon songs.

  • do you know where i can download this? itunes? anywhere.

  • The Beatles' version of the song can be found on Anthology 1 with John Lennon as the lead singer. A cover of this song appears in the 2010 film "Nowhere Boy" and on the film soundtrack

  • @millerbeezie Where the bloody 'ell are you from then??

  • lol they say 'ello' in the beginning i thought it was a myth that british people say ello

  • @millerbeezie nooo!!! all northerners say "ello" lol

  • What a debut

  • This was the first song written by John Lennon, when he was 18. It was recorded by another English goup, called the Fourmost in 1963, and actually made it to # 9 on the charts in the UK.

  • The first song John Lennon wrote. He was 18. It was recorded by another group, called the Fourmost in 1963, and reached # 9 in the UK.

  • not a great song but the ending is interesting - ends on a 6/9 which proves george martin didnt teach them the fancy chords.

  • @gordonbennet

"not great" is really a matter of taste

it is actually great for me. Such innocence and optimism, and voice... OMG this is great!

  • @gordonbennet No actually, there was a guy in town that they took some informal lessons from and he taught them some of the 6th and 9th chords. But George was also a very good study so he was able to pick a lot off by ear as well.

My sources are various Beatles books I've read over the years.

  • @THeMaskedBlogCritic yeah i heard the same they took a bus to one guy a ways away just to find out the B7 chord, off of anthology 1

  • So this was the song title of his first song. I was searching for it everywhere after watching nowhere boy :)

  • These very early Bealtes songs are better than 75% of the crap that passes as music today

  • @BaldSteve007 You got that right!

  • Didn't the Fourmost have a hit with this?

  • not really a good song. i've even heard that most of it was taken from other songs. but it's still amazing how we can hear the first step towards one of the greatest songwriting careers in the history of popular music as easily as clicking a few keys. for that it gets a "thumbs-up"

  • @SuperStray27 Well, if it's not a good song it gets a "thumbs-down" doesn't it? It does in my book. Anyway, this is a friggin' awesome tune.

  • @IMattchewB

The song's not that great, but since I had long wanted to hear Lennon's first song I still enjoyed watching the video. That doesn't necessarily mean I loved the song itself, but more the idea of what the audio track on this video is, and how long ago the recording was made. Plus, the pictures were cool. For all that it gets a "thumbs-up".

  • @SuperStray27 Well, like I said, it's an awesome tune in that it has The Beatles written all over it.

  • Lennon plays Rickembacker guitar, cool! PETER BEST WHO PUT THE BEAT ON THE BEATLES>

  • yes this was the first song lennon composed

  • The Beatles destroyed it. This song is virtually unknown, yet the standards are high.

    BAD ASS MOTHERFUCKERS

  • @asianwhitenigger

it's a beatles original song you moron...

  • @YardenGruman are you fucking down syndrome????

where do i state its not an original??? DESTROYED means good you fucking birdbrain

  • AWESOME !!!!!!!! you can also see this song in the first CD of Anthology :-))

  • great vocals by Lennon in my opinion....

  • awesome i love them

  • I like the way Liverpudlians say 'girl'.

  • @electrocuteanna yeah, me too haha. I just love their accent.

  • aunque es la primera cancionde mi john me encanta

  • the demo of this is ten times better

  • Great little tune. Sounds fresh and optimistic still today. It certainly was a sign of things to come. Defenitely the best version of the song.

  • @theselector thats because it wasn't exactly the beatles. Ringo Star wasn't in the band yet, and there were other people in it that were not in The Beatles we know today. This band was named The Silver Beatles

  • Catchy song :)

  • even before the official start of the beatles, they still had amazing choruses and harmonies and whatnot.

  • they were already geniuses... who else would think of the little 'hm hm'?

  • beautiful song !!!

  • PETE :)

  • @Diddlify

he looked like one of those highschool cool guys who wear leather jackets and barely talk

    lol

  • @SHEMEANzEVRyTHANG2ME No one wears leather jackets in high school anymore, and if they do they're losers, its not the 50s and 60s anymore.
