  • RIP== SO YOUNG AND SO MUCH MORE TO GIVE- OUV U ALWAYS!"!!!!

  • Tragic that they both died in car accident in 1996...I had no idea. Just looked them up when I was telling my wife I saw them at 'The Hippodrome Show' in about 1988, along with Transvision Vamp and Barry Manilow on the same bill.

  • @Richyspice1 OMG Transvision Vamp!!!!1

  • @Richyspice1 Completely horrible i randomely looked them up and was amazed to hear about this, assumed theyd just vanished into obscurity. Completely terrible, can only assume Euro 96 or something swalled up the publicity as they were very popular and deservedly so in their hayday.

  • RIP my boys xxxxx

  • had "Requiem" in my head today... so looked London Boys up for a bit of a blast from the past. Very sad to hear of their tragic deaths. RIP guys.

  • Still one of my favourite songs ever. RIP lads <3

  • 13?!

  • I loved this song!!

  • Dennis looks like he could be Hazell Dean (or basically any other female who was produced by SAW in the late 80s and wore a 'smart hat' - SAW seemed to have a thing for odd hats - Sonia, Kylie, Hazell, Donna, Mel & Kim all seemed wore them).

  • this is shite yet strangley addictive

  • tune take me bk 2 my childhood

  • poor souls both died together so sad and years ago :(

  • hu seriously guys there must be some nice men out there i am so lonely

  • @KittyyyEilenena142 fuck off

  • Yes! I was tyring to find this song all day today!! Had to ask mum what they were called... They look like strippers you have on a hen night LOL.. track makes me smile though :)

  • Those were the days. Wish I could travel back in time and just live in the 80s over and over.

  • @MegaSpliffster I know every teenager looks back on and wants to remain in their teenage years forerever and is influenced immensely by the music that was played at the time. Well I was a teenager when this was released and I would LOVE to travel back to the days when alls that mattered that was who is at the top of the charts.

  • OMG I remember this so much - loved it when I was a kiddie and love it now. Was always played at primary school discos back then. So sad to hear what happened to these guys.

  • Bring back my youth

  • You can say that again ! Where is Dr. Who when you need him.

  • Guys.... Rest in peace.

Miss u and your happy music...

  • They were hit by a car driven by a drunk Swiss driver in Austria.

  • @shussey100 i hope the drunk driver rots in hell for what they did they could have been big in america

  • @jakeharris2010 So true, being from the U.S. i've been checking out their videos for the first time here on the Tube and must say America missed this one. Can't stop watching these guys. Sexy and talented; the whole package but only to find out they were killed years ago. So unfortunate, they would of eventually been big here in the states & well loved.

  • Amazing 80s dance song.....London Boys died in car accident. May their soul RIP......A great band not with us any longer :-(

  • I had such fantasies about these two gorgeous men. Oh, how I miss the 1980s.

  • This video was just played live on Absolute Radio, Iain Lee show.

  • as an 80s fan im shocked how does a whole group die - what happened

  • @redsky106 They both died in a road accident in 1996 Edems wife also died in the crash..Sadly missed great guys RIP..

  • FABULOUS, loved these guys. I bought the album The Twelve Commandments Of Dance & I bloody loved it.

  • Haha i remember watching this on top of the pops

  • great song man

  • Doesn't anyone realize that this was the 80's??!! Why is everyone critisizing them about their clothes and music? That was the 80's trend and this music is SOOO much better than the sluts in america right now!

  • I had no idea they died until 3 days ago. rest in peace. May God be with your souls. xx

  • do duszy

  • heyyyy!

where are those comments: " WTF?! are you gay?!?!"^^

    nice song xD!

  • My first ever favourite band when I was ten. :)

  • This song Brings Back so happy memories when i went out partying LOVE THE SONG ..... R.I P Miss u

  • Fuller, Ephraim, Edem's German wife Bettina, their mutual friend - a Hamburg DJ - and the Swiss driver all died. Edem and his wife left behind a son, Stevie, who was 3 years old at the time of the tragedy. Dennis had a daughter, Laura, who was 10

  • For those who may make ill-informed comments: Edem and Dennis both died in a car accident on 21 January 1996. On an Austrian Alps mountain road on their way to a skiing holiday and along the route met a car driven by an inebriated driver who was trying to pass at the opposite side of the road. Apparently, the Swiss driver had kept overtaking other cars in dangerous places on that road beforehand and in bad weather conditions for a couple of miles until he finally hit their car head-on.

  • NLEWLAD you are indeed a prick! How dare you slag off these guys. Have some respect for the dead. These fellas never harmed nobody. Wanker!

  • R.I.P Fella's - Brings back so many memories as a kid.

how you can even compare jedward to edem and dennis is beyond me,just look how many awards, gold discs and not to mention platinum discs the london boys won.i suggest you do research on these 2 before comparing them to anyone like jedward!!

  • NLEWLAD YOU ARE A NOB!

  • couldnt agree more absolutly brilliant

  • genial :D muí buen grupo

  • These 2 lads were killed, such a shame! RIP boys.

  • back in the day everyone lip synced on Top of the Pops. I think it was a Licence thing.

  • lipsyncers

  • stare ale jare

  • This video represents my youth in every way imaginable.

The song is legendary no doubt, but the choreography is awesome. And the stage was amazing, and good to see the audience was getting into the performance as well.

    That's respect. Well done lads.

To those who know, you'll always be in our hearts London Boys.

  • Such an awesome song! LB were fantastic!!!

  • Think the London boys both died in a car crash? such a tragedy i thought they Rocked!!

  • yes you are so right they died in a car crash

by someone who was careless hit them head on

  • Stompin tune but the end of the chorus "I-I-I-I-I-wanna get up tonight..." sounds like Black Lace!

  • OMG

  • wtf

  • It's a pity the track doesn't get more play .. i know loads of people who love this song.. me included and i'm the proud owner of their LP!! those were the days eh??

  • both killed in a car crash. Edem's wife was also killed - what happened to their son that was only 3 when they died? RIP Dennis and Edem

  • super muza;)

  • i loved this song when i was tiny! loved the dancing.... looking back now its quite russian inspired! ne way ive got a tape of it some where lol!

  • good song sometime i recall...

  • Man i wish they were still alive!!!

  • deadly deadly song

  • I really think a modern version could be done for clubbers.

  • oh dear oh dear i remember when this "came out" i was about 9 and i knew it was wrong then

  • quite fit for a singer.

  • It was their dress style showing their torsos that was their appeal plus the amazing back flips dance routine. Edem had the stronger voice from the two of them but they were both amazing in their own way. I would like to know, however, how Edem's son is doing if anyone can supply that information. Sadly, he has only videos of the father he barely knew whereas we can just shake our heads that these two were taken so tragically. RIP Dennis and Edem - you are missed

  • What happend to them like?

  • They both died in a car crash in 1996.

    Such a shame.

  • I miss the 80's when TOTP was essential viewing.

  • Allenn100 - I agree wholeheartedly. I hope that Edem's son found love and happiness - also Dennis's daughter but even more tragic is the fact that Edem's son was left an orphan. Rest In Peace, guys - you shouldn't be forgotten even though your career was cut short.

  • Wonderful performers, a sad loss that they should pass on so young

  • I remember when I saw them on top of the pops there were 7 of us bros and sisters we recorded them on video loved that song please could you tell me how did pass over

  • I believe they were destined for better things - such a tragedy that they both died as well as Edem's wife and their friend. Any ideas what happened to Edem's little boy who was sadly left an orphan?

  • Classic! RIP

  • They died in a car crash in 1996. RIP. Happy memories they left behind. Life cruel at times.

  • When you think all the crap that got to number 1, not just in the 1980's but every era, tragic to think that this didnt. If only they hadnt brought it out at the same time Jive Bunny got in the chart -you only got to watch the crowds reaction to see how well loved they were. R.I.P lads. You were awesome!

  • i remember someone at the time, saying they were gay. prob. because their look appealed to straight women AND gay men. stay cool in heaven, guys: you WERE part of the magic that was the 80s

  • Well, when i saw them then, i did think they looked like members of the blue oyster bar from the police acadamy movies, in what they were wearing. This is good 80's sounding stuff tho, sounds quite itallo to be honest.

  • R.I.P Love you and your music xx

  • so they did ur right got mixed up plane n car soz!!

  • yeah they died in a plane crash on the way home from a gig 2 of them and one of there wives were on board too long live london boys had a few gd partys in my aunties listenin to there album long long ago they were the days!!

  • It was a car crash, but it doesnt really matter, the sad thing is that the lads and others lost their lives in tragic circumstances. Yes indeed, those were the days!

  • London Boys - sadly gone but never forgotten.1989 was their year.

    RIP Edem and Dennis+

  • They were great and of the time. They weren't gay but what the hell enjoy what they did.

  • car crash

  • RIP London boys - i loved you and your music xxxx

  • How did they die?

  • Are there guys "GAY"???

  • No they were both married but played gay clubs and had a huge gay audience. As dancers it probably didn't bother them in the slightest bit and nor should it.

Also bear in mind this was 1989 and everyone wore weird stuff.

  • @doubledeckers

Back in the good days, everyone was atleast little gay :D

  • @Reikis645 :D

  • Wow I had no idea these guys were dead. I loved this song as a teen in the US.

  • im sure they are still dancing and singing in heaven god rest you both i loved youxxxxxxx

  • Dennis can really wear all fetishy leather stuff :D Phoaar!

  • it looks like another milli vanilli to me' no way did these guys do the vocals,i wouldnt be surprised if there is a fat middle aged[white]german bloke still picking up royaltie's'.

  • David Hasselhoff?

  • i wouldnt be suprised in the slightest'.peace.

  • didnt know theyd died r i p x

  • RIP... but what an embarrasing Vid !!

  • cracking tune!! its a shame they are no longer with us

  • I still have their album on tape

  • I bought this song on 7inch vinal 90p i think i still got it. Are they really dead didn't know how?

  • Got killed in a Car Crash in 1996 in Austria.Shame as a lot of people all over Europe/World liked them.

  • Such a great pop song and real performers, brings back some great memories. RIP guys x

  • Never Forgotten.. R.I.P Boys

  • Its so weird, these guys were about when i was young and they are both gone?? So sad, they had so much energy and made everyone feel good with their music, its a cruel world. Rip lads.

  • Love this just wish u could still get it on disc

  • oh i starter to listen them two years ago but i didn t know they diet;/ Rest in peace. They we re great . Hail London Boys

  • I remember this from when I was 14. I didn't realise they were killed in a car crash in 1996.

  • oh............i was a 5 year old kid when i listened to this song..1989..brings back my childhood memories...rest in peace 'LONDON BOYS'

  • OMFG this brings back come memories! I remember when this came out!

  • Exactly, same with me. I was really shocked on hearing they'd had an accident. Great dancers, nice music and lots of wonderful memories ...

Their music will live though, and so will they in our memory!

  • This really takes me back to being a teenager and even though I am in my 30's now I still love them!!!!!

  • This brings back real memories for me. I was not even aware they had been killed. Very sad indeed. Thanks to You Tube these guy live on.

  • I agree thanks to YouTube

  • London Boys were a German based, British dance pop duo comprising Edem Ephraim (born 1 July 1959, London) and Dennis Fuller (born 19 June 1959, Jamaica), both of whom were tragically killed in an Alpine car accident in Austria on 21 January 1996.[1]

  • my mum loved theses they were a wicked group need more like it come on london boys

  • WOW they were so good, I didn't know them at all but now I love them! so sad that they die.

  • my dad loves these!

  • que buen video

  • my neighbour breeds ferets...did they really die in a plane crash?

  • Killed in a car crash in 1996, apparently by a drunk Swiss driver on a notorious mountain road in the Alps (after or on their way to a gig). Edem's wife was also killed, leaving their child an orphan, as well as a DJ/record producer friend of theirs.

  • I am intrigued to think what they would be doing now if they hadn't been killed by that drunken idiot....probably be doing the retro-club circuit as an amazing 80's/early 90's act - Tragic.

  • I actually think they had done a gig & were on there way to a skiing holiday when the accident happened
