still waiting for mine to be delivered so i have no hands on exp with it yet.
however, on paper the only drawbacks to the cam is, like you mentioned, no external mic hookup and low frame rate at full HD (20fps @ 1080), which would force most users to opt for the 30fps at 720p.
otherwise, can't wait for this bad boy to arrive! thanks for the test vids so i know what to expect.
I bought the camera and am getting frustrated with the video capabilities. I have tested multiple times the 1280x720 and can not get a slow pan shot without jitter. Any recommendations?
WOW!!! That video of the deer was absolutely stunning. I've been eyeing this camera and I have made my decision I'm getting a T1i, thanks for uploading this great video.
I love taking pictures and i want a nice camera but I have no photography training. I think I'm going to buy the T1i. It seems like great camera that will last for years to come ;)
Would you recommend this over an HD camcorder? I'm looking to purchase something that I will be using for cinematography. I don't have enough money for a steady cam or anything yet, and i've been looking at some of the Sony and Canon Handy cams but this looks just as nice(and $400 cheaper than the camcorders). What do you think?
No conversion per se, it was edited for content in Adobe Premiere and then rendered back out at the same resolution (1080x740) using H.264 compression. I think that this is where most people are going wrong.
The quality in terms of resolution/sharpness is excellent based on this video. Did you upload the raw file to Youtube or did you somehow convert it for better results?
i love this camera, but it sucks that you cant manually control iso in videomode, because there is alot of noise in bad light. any tips?

Do you think that if i set this camera on a tripod, and positioned it to my HDTV. Would it record well, or does it pick up a lot of lines?
