@flameknux77 You can unlock polar, dingodile, zem and zam by doing the gem cups. You can get pura by doing 50 consecutive boosts whilst racing in adventure mode with team bandicoot

@limelungs242 Those are brainwashing caps that N. Trance put on them. Trance needed some racers for his green team, so he brainwashed the three so they would race for him to take down the Bandicoots and the Cortex team.
