actually the originals do have heads.They are behind the windshield with a sticker on them.

@tatt4music I Remember the Ratchet figure. I got him in Sweden back in -85 (I think that was the year). As far as I can remember... no head and no sticker, This was a while ago of course, I could be mistaken. I still have that figure though, somewhere... hiding in his box. I´ll check it out someday and remember what you said :) I must admit, this really brings back the child in me. Nothing quite like it.

thanks! i dont have ratchet yet, but i got ironhide at a convention this summer, but ironhide and ratchet were there 2 years in a row now (maybe more, idk) so i'll probably have ratchet by this time next year

If it weren't for the heads i would've passed on the re-issues. =)

I bought Ironhide when there weren't heads available. Later on, a hobbyist made some head molds, selling them for $100. I skipped that and waited. Then, these mass-produced BestToys heads came out which I purchased immediately for $15 and also Ratchet.

Great review! I was really confused to why the Henkei Ironhide had chrome lights, but now it makes alot more sense seeing G1 Ironhide having them as well.
