a) Standing on the pool of blood then b) Freezing him with the Tesla gun and c) Then hitting him with the spear. Repeat until he is dead. Use syringes to boost your melee damage.

The game looks really good, enhanced graphics and all. The only problem here are the controls. It's seriously clumsy and hard to even move around. Apple would've made more money selling some sort of "iJoystick"...Just an opinion.

Fucking idiots in here insulting the game saying it's "slow" and "idiotic"... NO, YOU'RE the slow idiots!! Look at the title of the game, for crying out loud. Wolfenstein R - P - G. It's NOT supposed to be the fast-paced FPS. It's a spin-off in the RPG/turn-based combat style. Hence the "slower" action. Shut the hell up if you don't know what you're talking about.

1) slow

2) not an RPG - RPG means ROLE playing game. You have no ROLE here. you just shoot and choose between three differente phrases

3) this is a first person shooter

4) Play Oblivion, that is a ROLE playing game. If Diablo 2 is not an RPG (it's a hack n slash) WHY SHOULD THIS BE CALLED RPG?!!?!?!?!

Just because you play in a first person perspective, doesn't mean its a FPS. Oblivion is played in first person... Call it what you will, it's a turn based shooter with RPG elements...

A storyline that can be changed is what makes a game a role playing game. Here you just "go forward". This is a fps for slow people. (and wow is a hack and slash for slow ppl).No role, no DEPTH OF CHARACTERS, no nothing. Just a famous title that sells because the real Wolfenstein sold so much at its time.

Like I said before, FPS games are NOT turn based... When they call it an RPG, they don't mean the storyline, they mean the RPG-like aspects such as turn based fighting, and your inventory system.

@decep3107 I just dislike it. Can I? Sure I can. RPG still means Role Playing Game. The meaning hasn't changed. Ignorant game developers / players call hack n slash games "rpg". They call a turn based games with no storyline (like worms or this wolfenstein) "rpg". They call everything "rpg" just because it sounds cool. Oblivion, Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights are RPGs, because they have a story. No story = no role. no role = no rpg. The inventory doesnt mean anything. Quake 3 arena has one!!!

If they just called it 'Wolfenstein' I would have been pissed when it wasn't an fps

Methinks an isometric 3D update of the original Silas Werner / Muse Software Wolfenstein could potentially be a far better fit and still [ via an Apple II+ emulator ] far more fun than trying to mash up this IP with a kind of simplified Eye of the Beholder. Now that it comes to mind, an intact Dungeon Master remake would be boss too.

Props to Silas Werner for making an amazing game. Definitely check out the videos for Beyond Castle Wolfenstein -- still the best Wolfenstein game ..!

Props to Firemint, though gameplay comes across as really stilted and horrible.! IMHO Wolfenstein 3D was also problematic on the iPhone with the controls though maybe it's just about having an IP that people know and makes a good little gimmick to show off to your mates for a minute or two until you wrestle with how clumsy it feels.

its not out yet, John Carmack (creator) says its ready to be released and SHOULD have been released already but EA is holding it back because quote "they dont want to confuse people and have 2 wolfensteins out at the same time" it was released in Japan in May on accident for less than a day, thats where this vid comes from. so its done, but EA's being done..
