  • watching this video reminds me of my childhood. (: great style i'm about to do it on my little sister's hair.

  • I grew up getting my hair threaded...i now thread my daughters hair, n her hair is long, thick n healthy....i so love ur creativity....thank u

  • My parentes are africans and my mum used a lot the africain threaded! I really love this tutorial... ^.^ kisses from Italy

  • Gonna try this...I used to yarn wrap my girls' Pocohontas braids just for fun in the summer, but this is much better!

  • We still do the "almost what I wanted" christmas gifts...I bought my girls the American Girl dolls they wanted. But, because those dolls are like $100 each, I didn't by all the American Girl brands clothes and accessories my girls wanted for them which would have been an additional hundreds of dollars. I was like "surprise...we know this lady who makes and sells a bag of knockoff American Girls clothes for $30, and you can put $1 Dollar Tree bows in their heads." LOL

  • @AngelCaesarina LMBO! My sister got one of those! It was totally bald in the middle. If her hair wasn't in a ponytail she looked like Fryer Tuck lol she wasn't impressed either.

  • So pretty.

  • This hairstyle was absolutely beautiful!

  • @Drea885 Thank you :) x

  • So beautiful! Does the thread not cut through the hair?

  • @SGmom2 Thank you! No it really doesn't. As with all braiding, make sure you don't pull the hair too tightly at the base. :)

  • Great video :)

  • @JesusISmyLORD29 Thank you:) x

  • Your videos are so creative and informative...your hairstyles, always beautiful!!

  • @ivanessful Thank you so much :) x

  • i love these threaded braids. How would you style them on a grown woman? I saw that you had individual threaded braids in one of the other videos. Would you pleeeaaase do a tutorial on it? PLEEEAASSE? lol

  • @123abcgagaga Thank you! Yes, I plan on adding a a few tutorials on the most requested styles I've worn and that is one of them. :)

  • Wow! do you know when i was a little girl i used to see people braids with thread in Haiti...i'm going to try it on my 4yr old girl..

Thank you so much for this tutorial..it brings back a lot of memories!!!

  • @1NaTuralBella That's awesome! I wore my hair like this as a child too. Thanks for watching :).

  • Nadine, your hair looks so pretty! The style is super-cute. I never thought about doing larger sections of hair. I'm going to have to try it. Nice job!

  • @shonesters Thank you so much! Let me know how you get on.:) x

  • Your daughters hair is so pretty. I love the way this looks. I don't know if I can do it on myself but it's worth a try.The finished style is so pretty and looks like a different version of a twist. Very pretty. Thank you for your videos and we do miss you!!!!

  • @missjoaquin4now Go for it! You'll love the results x

  • Nadine - when the kids' hair are in the threaded styles (like here where it's been in for two weeks) do you wash their hair? I am trying to figure out how it remains so stretched .

  • @obsidianlily Hi! No, I usually wash their hair every other week when it's been in protective styles. So this type of style I'll do a day or two before I'm going to wash it.

  • New subbie here... Just finished watching all your videos :) Looking forward to many more. You are very funny and creative. Also I love how you decorated your home. I' will be stealing your shelving set up in your office ;) Thanks!

  • @JamCanGurl Aww, thank you so much! Go right ahead! Lol. I'm glad you enjoyed our videos.:) x

  • love it!!!

  • @mchocladee Thank you :) x

  • this is so cute on your daughter...does this technique take out her hair? it looks wonderful and so 'spirally'. thanks for sharing

  • @dkblck1958 Thank you! No, it preserves there hair and helps to retain length really well :).

  • I love it. I'll definitely try this one on my daughter but I'm guessing it won't last long cause she sleeps like she's fighting karate. I'm getting better with the African threading with her but I'm a total mess when it comes to my hair. I've newly transitioned so my hair is not so long. Any tips for me? I totally enjoyed the holiday video. Happy holidays to you and your beautiful family.

  • @alibjohn LOL! My daughter sleeps the same way. I'm guilty of spending less time than I should on my hair. After I've put all my energy into the girls' hair, I just throw mine in twists or African threads and I'm done. Lol. Luckily my hair seems to agree with minimal effort O_o x

  • So good to see you again Nadine!! lol @ the xmas presents, mine were never what i asked santa claus for, for a long time i thought he really couldn't read letters well! this style is so so cute! i used to get my hair done like that, single thread braids throughout the head. Is that number 2 (daughter?) so adorable and her hair is wow!!

  • @louloumatou LOL!!! LMBO!!! Girl you are too funny. I remember leaving pictures, just in case Santa was having difficulty reading too! Yes, this is my youngest. She's getting so big now! :) xoxo

  • @GirlsLoveYourCurls gosh, they are really growing on camera!! hahaha, i remember leaving cut outs from a magazine once for dear santa, and he still didn't get it right. my aunt said he had forgotten his glasses at the north pole, i really felt bad for him then lol :)
