  • I'm looking for a reasonable flamenco guitar to start off playing Latin music. Does anyone know of some good sites that carry cheap flamencos? Possibly under $350?

  • LaBamba is a latin folk song originally from the state of veracruz, typically sung at weddings.look it up on wikipedia.

  • just an idea ... I notice the fifth mode of the harmonic minor fits very well with this progression could it be coming from there?

  • hi there andrew I have a question: there is a sequence of three major chords that I like to play ( kind of flamenco style of music), for example F Gb and Ab or instead of classic F major chord I play it with a minor 2nd instead of playing the octave... well I can't seem to figure out the harmony of this sequence, I thought it could come from a F phrygian but then the first would have to be minor right?

  • man you re very good with ritmo. very nice!!

  • to play that type of music..do you need a guitar like that one..if yeah what kind are they

  • Reply to G562UNOT,

That guitar is often called a, "Bossa" style.

(cutaway classical type is a Bossa).

And, they are very nice for this Latin style.

  • @creativeguitarstudio I bet those Nylon strings help a lot too XD

  • @creativeguitarstudio Great, you just informed me that what I thought was my classical is actually a Bossa style guitar, that's interesting to know, thanks :)

  • that's a very inspiring video, time to practice

  • You're amazing dude! I've been watching your vids for a while now and I love them all.

I can't read this sheet music? Can you, if you have time someday, tab it out please sir?

  • please make your lessons more easier..like close ups..like on which fret and string are you putting your fingers!!

i would be easier for me and others!

    thank you!

please do reply when you do that!

  • Hello, "memostwanted1,"

... We began doing close-ups at the start of June... Sorry we didn't get that sorted out earlier. Thanks for watching!

    - Andrew

  • He seems to enjoy playing this stuff more than other things he teaches. Personally I find this more interesting as well.

  • I really love your videos. I feel as if I'm becoming a better writer just by watching them.

  • I don't play guitar - I actually play bass and drums.

What kind of bass playing would suit this kind of music? I found just walking suited it, but then again what doesn't walking suit? Is there any standard kind of bass styles to play here -- ie, match the rhythm, play a certain rhythm, what chord tones to play etc?

  • rolling and bouncing bossa nova, and samba bass lines. i play bass to this stuff alot, its really fun (if you like the music)

  • Legend!

  • Great lesson. There's not enough Latin style guitar lessons around!

  • I wish I could play like that

  • Like that

  • Man i always wanted to learn Latin guitar Thank You

  • LOVE THESE LESSONS
