I hate when these dumbasses bring up George Carlin in every stand up video because they want to sound smart & say he's the funniest ever & belittle people who disagree. Fuck all you tools. Carlin mainly made observations than actual jokes. I find most of the O&A regular comics funnier than him but you don't see me going on his videos & bringing them up. Really go watch one of his bits if you claim to like him so much & don't waste time here. Fucking morons lol

Dude, I agree 100%.

If you watch George Carlin, you'll notice there's more clapping than actual laughing.

The stuff he's saying might be really insightful, but I don't think it's that funny.

A lot of other comedians might say stuff that's dumb, but it's funny as shit.

If you just had to rate how valuable the stuff he said was, it would be high, but as actual comedy, I don't think it was that funny.

Jim Norton is hilarious, though.

No they wouldn't. They've made praise on his observations but in terms of funny, everyone has a different sense of humor. I find Louis & Patrice's stand up funnier, but then again I like a lot of comics others hate & hate some that others love (not that I hate Mr Carlin). So to just say someone is funnier period is plainly ignorant. And if you watch some of George's later bits the audience is applauding more than laughing cause what he'd say was meant to be more philosophical than just funny.

@botzar You just gave 2 completely conflicting examples to compare Norton with. George Carlin wouldn't waste a calorie on a bum like Dice. BUT, it's not right to compare any comic to George Carlin anyways. Jim Norton is a great comedian and if he does try hard that's what makes him better. Most comedians do guest spots and get serious, he brings his A game.
