Thom wrote this song to his girlfriend, Rachel, when she got accidentally pregnant. he didn't want a baby, but she did, so she was going to leave him, but he settled to the idea and begged for her to stay, the original lyrics before they were changed to "to have you be in peace" for the studio version they were "I'll drown my believes to have your babys"... "just don't leave"...

this is why this song came out in the Amnesiac era but had no context in the album
