I should have qualified this. The Engflish called the Ghurkas and the Maoris too cowards during the Battle of Cassino in Italy. The English do not treat the Gurkhas well now.

they crept up behind the enemy in total darkness long the floor and felt the laces of the potentail target this identified the enemy and was killed and ears cut off.

People are over-romanticising the Gurkhas. No-one respects or admires them more than me, but they join the British Army because it is a lot better than living in poverty in Nepal (and they are greatly respected when they return to their homeland). They don't do it to serve the Queen or any bullshit like that.
That said, these guys certainly deserve more than the wasters and scroungers we let into this country, especially when they have won the VC.

This man is a true hero who fought for our King at the time. He should want for nothing as his achievements surpass everything anyone can achieve. At least he's over here now and hopefully he'll have a comfortable life now. I am glad that such an esteemed man has been allowed to stay in our country and enjoy the benefits that his sacrifices and the sacrifices of his fellow Ghurkhas have given us all.
I petitioned my MP and spread the word of his plight wherever I could. Nothing major I know.
All Ghurkhas should be cherished by this nation. We should offer them everything we enjoy whether they choose to go back to Nepal, or live in the UK.

it was great to see him being welcomed by the british and the gurkhas in renaissance hotel. there was a conference, in which his bravery was told. (the war in burma, 2nd world war, 1944), then, followed by a press conference, and then a cultural dance.
Mr Tul Bahadur Pun is a true figure of life, that it, BRAVERY, HONESTY, and most importantly LOYALTY.

The real British people, the majority of whom have served in the Armed Forces, have always revered the Gurkhas. No praise is too high for their service. I cannot speak for the so-called leadership of the Country these days, nor much of the rubbish who inhabit these Islands.

It is great news that Mr Pun will be joining us in the UK. I only hope that he if put first on the list for housing and not made to wait like other immigrants or UK citizens. He is more British than most of us by nature of the sacrifices he made during the great war and the sacrifices he has made in respect of his living conditions after the war and celebrations were over.
