I certainly like it! The MIG-15 was a great machine too. They say that any blacksmith could repair the engine. Only problem was, you needed a runway. I'll be travelling across Russia from St Petersburg to Moscow, to Mongolia, next year.

When you want to take of verticaly you have to pre spin the rotor and than disconnect the drive shaft. Otherwise you will spin the whole plane and crash. After disconnection pull collective pitch and away you go. This concept is old and has been done in the 30's. Not saying it's bad because of that, it's just not a new idea.

Another way is to have jets at the end of the rotor blades. Look for "Fairy Rotodyne", that's really cool.
