I'm really sorry for your lose. My shyenne died 2 week exact to my 20th b-day 1-9-08 I miss her so much and still cry myself to sleep and I said good girl and kissed her goodbye and we both cried. She held on for 4 days of haveing 2 basketball blockages in her. I cut her long mane and all of her stuff is in a box full of memories and smells of her. I play the video of the day before she got sick and shut down. I know how you feel.

R.I.P Rusty. My first horse died when i was 10 and the similar thing happened to him. He had a big burst of energy then layed down and died caught in a fence. I couldn't watch my horse being put down by the vet.

im sorry! its such a horrible thing, rusty didn get put down he died from the heart attack but i was even worse :(

well i havent lost a horse yet...but i lost my dog that we had for 20 years and tho i am only 13 its heart breaking when an animal passes what happened to him?

i took rusty for a ride one nigh, him being his usually tb self wanted to run after our warm up, so i let him gallop, when i thought he'd gone enough i pulled him up and started turning him for home. it was then i noticed he was breathing weird, to hard, and he kind just stagged to the edge of the road to the bushes and fell with me still on him. i was nearly trapped but he must of felt me under him and rolled up a bit so i could get out.

and he had a heart attack with me standing there watching, there was nothing i could do. by the time my parents got to us about 5 to 10 minuets later he was dead.

it took a while for it to sink in, this was very close to my school holidays, which i usually spend all my time with rusty, so it hit me really hard whe holidays came :(

its hard not to blame myself at all, but, even though i know this sounds silly, he hated me being sad and would always nuzzle me and try to cheer me up, so i dont think he would wont me being sad about him now, and yea like you said one day i will see him again

It doesn't sound silly at all! Horses and ponies that are very close to their owners, you can tell and it's fact that they don't want their owners to be sad or worried and vice-versa.

yes i was lost for along time, its not easy

it does get easier though. at the time it was more i cant believe this is happening it has to be a dream, it didn really hit me till a the next day really :(

he had a heart attack when i took him runing one day, he collapsed with me on him and nearly trapped me under him. but he felt me and rolled off me so i could get up. there was nothing i or anyone could do, he died within 4 minuets, so at least he didn suffer for long :(
